Spice Live’s The Nooner Becomes Spice Hotel!
June 25th, 2004 (Los Angeles, CA): With Spice Live’s inventive program The Nooner, callers from all across the USA were invited to spend their lunch hour getting down and dirty with some of the hottest porn star couples on TV. But now afternoon delight has transformed into evening debauchery! Starting this June, Spice Live has moved their popular daytime show into the nighttime hour, given it a face lift and turned up the heat. Say goodbye to The Nooner, and say hello to Spice Hotel!
“We’re now putting on a more intimate show,” says show director Bud Lee. “We’ve got a whole new look ” it’s more of a hotel room look rather than a TV show. The set for The Nooner was bright and we spent it in the foreground on the couch, but now we have a bed by a window that overlooks downtown. We’ve always been a pretty racy program, but it certainly is getting to be a lot more like we’re inviting people into a bedroom. It’s making the audience feel a little more sexy and at ease.”
Spice Hotel has been in its new time slot since June 4th, giving couples plenty of time to get more than comfortable with the new look and feel of the program ” something Lee says has encouraged more callers dialing in with more salacious details of their between-the-sheets activities, sometimes while they’re in the middle of them!
“It’s a lot more sexually charged,” Lee notes. “We had several women calling in last week. One of the couples were having anal sex while they were talking to us, and that was pretty interesting! Because it’s at night and on a weekend, people are a little bit looser so we’re getting a little bit more wild. We also seem to be picking up some of the original Spice Clips audience, and they seem to like the fact that they get to talk to and direct the couple.”
Half of one of those couples ” Barrett Blade, who shares his on-screen time with Holly Hollywood ” is pleased with the move and finds that even he and Holly are able to be a lot hotter for the night owls that call the show.
“The evening time-slot lends itself to a good atmosphere,” says Blade. “It has a sexier vibe to it, and because of that Holly and I get into that and forget sometimes that there’s a camera and millions of viewers in the room with us! We definitely get more of a variety of callers, which keeps things interesting. And Holly is the best partner a guy can have for the show!”
