Just when you thought it was safe for Asian girls to hang out at the malls again, DAC is on the loose. He’s got two very beautiful Asian girls lined up for his version of the Japanese porn some of us really love. Clark’s vision is always unique and often just far enough off the beaten path to get in the way of the clear stroke value he brings to the table. (His work that is, my own opinion of David’s stroke value is not at issue.) It’s a fine line he walks with projects like this. As one of porn’s few true artists, DAC brings us a vision unlike his contemporaries. On the other hand, he also seems keenly aware that people actually enjoy the qualities of a good stroke flick. (Shock) So the trick is to find the perfect balance between the art and smut. DAC certainly has the skill and he’s got the cast so let’s see where this one takes us.

This is definitely a strange trip. Clark’s visual style is amazing and this movie looks pretty great. Some of the in-between footage feels a little loose and plays like a BTS reel. It’s interesting, but sometimes makes things feel long. Sexually the movie has potential, but Clark falls into the same traps that have killed other directors of late. Not only does he let the quagging destroy the sexual heat, but he lets it happen in scenes with such a stunning visual that it feels like pissing all over the fine china. Tia is a great looking girl who is capable of hot scenes, but she just fucks things up this time around. Scarlett isn’t quite as bad, but she also isn’t quite as hot. Overall this is a very interesting movie that fails somewhat sexually. Anyone who likes more than just the usual in and out will want to pick it up. It is beautifully hot and manages to be high-end without feeling pretentious. Unlike other would-be artists who look down on the guys with their pants around their ankles by shot-changing us on the sex, Clark delivers on that end. It isn’t a lack of sex that brings this one down, it’s the fact that he lets the girls (or has them do it) take us into that side show arena where the worst directors in porn go when they can’t come up with real heat. On that level, the movie is a huge disappointment. On every other level it’s an interesting trip with some beautiful young women to enjoy.
