REVIEW-

This is my first look at one of the Playgirl movies. I know that these are supposed to be for couples, but I’m going to have to review it alone. Going in I realize that this isn’t the kind of movie I normally like. It’s not even close to a raincoat project so I will treat it as such. Keep that in mind as you read the review. I might give it more praise than the overall grade would indicate. Sticking with a simple style, Playgirl has chosen a fantasy flick with voice overs to set the stage. There is some costume play involved, but no real acting involved. Hopefully you’ve got a lovely woman or two to watch this with and you can decide which of these fantasy scenes works best for you.

Maharaja: Niko & Julia Bond

We start with a little harem fantasy. The story is told through voice over as the two disrobe behind veils in the center of a huge bed. Early shots are a bit soft through the veils, but Julia is quite busy with her mouth all over his meat. Even with the glossy look we get to watch then at full feed. That’s a nice change for a movie aimed at the couples market. He pulls out and shoots all over her lovely butt.

Model & Photographer: Guy & Penny Flame

Thanks to the complete lack of cast ID I’m a little lost on the guys. I know that Penny is shooting the guy and that the entire tease segment is dedicated to his body as he slowly takes his clothes off. Eventually she joins him on the couch, teases him and works his cock to full mast. Penny gives him an expert hand job, getting him off before she goes back to work on the photo shoot.

Chess: Eric Masterson & Avena Lee

A friendly game of chess heats up really quickly between Eric and Avena. It naturally turns to sex and Eric takes a lot more time moving his tongue over her clit than he did moving his pieces around the chess board. Avena is always good with her mouth, though much of the action is intentionally obstructed in this movie so we get more shots of his back than her tongue. Without a lot of boy candy to fall back on, this scene ends up with a short, unimpressive fuck that leaves me wondering when Avena is going to change that tragic hairstyle.

After the Party: Anthony Hardwood & Dominica Leoni

As the title of the fantasy indicates, these two meet up after a party and decide to celebrate late into the night. The voice over here is hilarious because it turns what is basically a post party one night stand into something out of a romance novel. The lighting in this scene is pretty funky. Dominica actually seems to be glowing as he removes her panties. . Most of the blowjob footage looks like it was show from a helicopter high above Dominica’s bobbing head. The same could be said for the cowgirl, but they do slip in some nice ass shots before he pulls out and sprays his load all over her cute little butt.

Morning Glory: Cassie Courtland

Cassie watches her man shower in the morning and won’t let him out of the bedroom without some action. She dries him off and once he’s ready to go Cassie gets what she wants. A lot of the footage here is shot through a glass wall and it’s very nice looking. They kiss for a long time before moving on to other aspects of the scene. The sex in this one plays a lot like a typical eye candy scene from other couples friendly porn movies. We get to see some blowjob action and some nice butt shots as she rides. They even throw in a bit of missionary before he shoots up her belly.

Hot in the City: Tyler Knight & Katja Kassin

Wow, this one throws a little engagement party action into the mix. Katja and Tyler have yet to tell everyone that they are getting married, but they are already practicing for the honeymoon. He gives her ass a lot of attention and then she shows him the kind of oral attention he can expect from his future bride. It is hard to slow Katja down, but they control her energetic fucking pretty well here. There are great ass shots of course, but overall it is a very low-impact boff with a weak pop that disappears between into the canyon between her massive cheeks.

Last Call: Voodoo & Nicole Sheridan

Nicole pops in for an after hours drink and drifts off into a fantasy about the bartender. This real life couple has worked together so often that things just come naturally for them. The lighting is rather interesting and even if it takes away from the sex, I’m impressed. They use the barstool for a quick, two-position fuck that isn’t quite as interesting as the lighting I’m afraid.

There is an Adam & Eve scene to end the movie and then a tennis instructor fuck in the bonus material. That rounds out the sex. There is a BTS reel with Niko, a feature on Playgirl centerfold named Kris. This stuff is definitely for the ladies so make sure you let your wife/girlfriend/whatever check out the bonus section.

I was very impressed that we didn’t have to sit through two hours of slow motion sex. So much of the stuff for couples is slow and glossy and that is what I expected to see from Playgirl. The fantasies are all told via voice over and some of them are pretty silly. Ladies, after seeing the collection of fantasies here, you don’t get to make fun of us for the whole cheerleader/French maid/roller girl thing. The sex scenes have a lot of gloss, very little hard-core action and nothing that is likely to scare away the ladies. In fact most of the guys are attractive enough to make the women want to watch. Much of the tease and set up for each scene is dedicated to the men, but I don’t know how much crossover appeal this will have for the gay market. Once the action starts, it all boy/girl. This is a good couples movie, but I just finished reviewing Island Fever 4. Even with the slow motion in the flick, it was better on all levels. This is good, but it is so soft that it might leave even some couples out in the cold.
