I knew that as soon as I skipped over Taboo 3 that I would find my copy. Sure enough, there it is. We have already moved past this movie and completely away from the core story. Since the line sort of falls off the ledge shortly after part five, it will be nice to return to the original characters. Kay Parker is back, weaving yet another torrid tale of family love. Honey Wilder is also back, giving us a pair of seasoned women who will do their best to keep up with young hottie in the cast. The main young chick in this flick is Lisa Lake. She’s a tight little blonde with a bit of a hard look to her face. For my money though, there is another girl to enjoy. Kristara Barrington pops in here. (Perhaps listed as Kimberly Wong) She is one of my favorite 80’s girls and even though she doesn’t get to do much in Taboo 3, it’s still fun to watch her. We can have fun following the story and enjoying a little eye candy along the way.

As we open part three, Kay Parker’s oldest son, tired of the incestuous relationship with his mother, has packed his bags and left. His younger brother (Jerry Butler) is still at home. At least he’s home when he isn’t out managing a band and hanging with his hot blonde girlfriend, Lisa Lake. His band is doing really well and so is his pal Blake Palmer. Just go with it and watch as she works herself into a frenzy and then gives him the ride of his life. It’s another dark scene with rather unremarkable action. It might have been good scene on some level back then, but now it just feels rushed like everything else.

Apparently she can’t tell the difference between the two boys because she goes after Jerry just like he was big brother. It’s an emotional scene, but about as blatantly strokeable as the rest of the movie. (Which is to say barely at all.)

OK, I actually like the script in this movie almost as much as the first two. I also find the sex to be just as disappointing. Chalk it up mostly to a time frame thing. They just didn’t shoot sex scenes very well back then. The scenes are more interesting from a psychological standpoint than a visual one. Kay and Honey are looking older in this movie, but they handle their roles well. Lisa is the young hottie who actually has some great sexual energy even as she fights against poor lighting and bad camera angles. This is a good transition movie from the core story that made the Taboo series great into whatever it became in later episodes. Parker, Wilder and Butler turn in good acting performances and there is enough family action to keep the incest fantasy crowd happy. It doesn’t do much for me sexually, but it does serve as a good reminder of just how hot Kristara Barrington was. In fact I think I’m going to go watch the new Kristara Barrington Unleashed DVD that came in the mail this week.
