This is the latest release from Dana DeArmond. You might now her as the Porn Unicorn. The Internet’s Girlfriend or one of any number of other nicknames she has been given. It is an alt-porn movie I guess, but it isn’t like anything I’ve seen from Vivid-alt to date. The premise is simple. Dana gets a lot of email from young people who are curious about getting into the porn business. She has decided that these up and comers really need someone to teach them the ropes. That puts us into really dangerous territory. Dana is taking on one of the most challenging genres in all of porn. New girls are really hard to shoot well. Dana is not only shooting new girls, but she is taking girls who aren’t half Vallified and trying to create a hot movie with them. One might be worried that Dana may have bitten off more than she can chew, but I can tell you up front that is not the case. This may seem odd because I haven’t been a huge fan of move of Vivid-Alt’s stuff so far. This movie however is more of a collection of interviews interwoven between sex scenes. They aren’t linear and that can sometimes turn into a mess. Instead, the interviews are tightly edited to fit themes and specific topics. It is actually nice to see interview footage cut together this way. Let’s break down the individual scenes and see how this crop of new girls did.

Rory Tonic & Alec Knight and Sascha

Cute little Rory just leans back and smiles as Sasha and Alex take a peek at what is under her panties. She’s really hot with super pale skin, a sleeve on her left arm and just enough on-screen curiosity to make this scene work. The camerawork is a little spotty, but I think they are trying to let her go with the flow rather than over-choreograph her sex scene. That’s tough to capture and is bound to look rough around the edges. The guys smack her cute face with cock and then have her bent over to see if she handles one at both ends. Her energy level is really good for a new chick and she actually seems to be having a pretty decent time. I love the piledriver. The scene probably goes on longer than it should, but she really never slows down so there is good energy throughout. Dana steps into the mix for a while and adds her own heat. Apple is definitely not the kind of woman you would normally see in a mainstream porn flick. She is cute enough and brings a natural sexuality to the couch, but you probably won’t see her all over your store shelves any time soon. The pace is slower here, but that fits. It takes Apple a while to get comfortable, but once it happens, you can see her change. She is relaxed and just having fun as the dick slides in and out of her mouth. This is a really interesting scene and not at all bad for a genuine amateur. The post-scene interview between Apple and Dana is really interesting. Casper Vice & Daniel

Casper is a pale little thing who reminds me a lot of Kelly Osbourne. She gets to work with Daniel and she seems to get along with him right away. The camera work is noticeably jerky here and the editing is choppy. It stands out a bit in this scene because there is some real porno heat being generated here. So it’s a style thing that you may or may not enjoy. Casper is quite comfortable with that long dick poking into her shaved little box. Watching her suck dick I would have to say that I would be shocked if someone doesn’t do an Osbourne parody with Casper as the naughty daughter turned bad pop singer. How do you turn away from this stuff? Seriously, this is some of the most entertaining stuff I have seen in a long time. Anyone who thinks Dana has it good just needs to watch these blogs and realize that every time she opens an email, there is a horror show waiting for her. I normally don’t tell people to watch the bonus stuff, but you have to make time for these. There is also a CD of some great music. I’ve always said that my favorite part of the alt-porn movement is the music. It’s pretty damn good.

I do believe Dan DeArmond is on to something here. As I mentioned in the open, she took on an incredibly tough genre and she did it very well. The interview footage is especially impressive. Anyone can put a new girl on a couch, ask her about her prom date, her favorite position and if she likes double anal. Instead Dana has strung together answers in a way that is interesting, entertaining and makes Role Modeling a valuable view even if you’re not into the sex. Sexually it isn’t bad. Some of the girls show some serious promise while others will probably not pursue their porn dreams. There are some camera and editing issues during some of the scenes. Some of this is a style thing that you may like more than I did. Sometimes it appears to be a way to divert attention from the sort of problems you run into with newbies. Rory is cute and her scene has some sexually highlights. It may go on a bit too long, but is solid even if you aren’t an alt fan. Apple’s scene falls a little flat, but her explanation afterwards lends a dose of credibility to the action that is quite appealing. Casper has a unique look that may limit her in mainstream work. They will likely try to change her if she decides to work outside of the alt world. (A shame in my view because she’s cute and unique.) Andy may have the most porn potential. She is very cute in or out of the alt world. She also shows a whole lot of energy. This sort of scene is what is too often missing from movies in the alt-porn genre. It was quite strokeable and impressed me. Dana herself adds a scene with a lot of heat. Johnny struggles a bit, but with Daniel’s help the scene moves along quite nicely. Dana gives the new girls something to shoot for sexually and sets the bar pretty high. So why do I like this movie so much? It has new girls who are cute, don’t look like every other chick in porn and who bring pretty good heat to the table. Sexually the heat is pretty good. There are some issues, but much of this is simply a matter of style. What really sold me on this movie was the interview footage and the way it is put together. Dana makes it interesting, occasionally disturbing and ultimately worth watching from start to finish. I would still like to see a little more strokeable sex in my porn, but Dana has made a movie that is worth watching from start to finish. How often can we say that?
