This is another one of those parodies that makes me scratch my head. I love Celebrity Fit Club, but as a porn parody? I just don’t see the built in sex appeal. Perhaps they could have hot porn chicks playing fussy celebs. That might have worked. Instead they flip the whole weight loss thing, making the campers underweight and in need of fattening up. Making matters worse is the fact that they don’t really do any celebrity fantasy play. Are these chicks supposed to be models? Hilton Sisters? Reality TV rejects? It really is kind of poor execution of a bad idea. On the plus side, Otto Bauer plays the Drill Sergeant and he is hilarious. He’s about it though. The other guys are either annoying or they blend into the background. The girls are a little better, but none stand out. They aren’t really playing any characters so they rely on looks. That isn’t too bad since most of them are pretty cute. Sadie West gives a really good scene as does Lea Lexis. The three on one with Lea in the finale is a very good scene. Some of the others are just a little flat. Nice eye candy to be sure, but without any real fantasy appeal, there just isn’t much to go on. There are a few VOD worthy scenes here and Otto is entertaining, but overall this is a lightweight parody that doesn’t really stand up well next to the others.
