In a world filled with porn parodies, this latest Axel Braun is one of the most anticipated to date. Taking on Avatar would be one thing. Doing it in full 3D is really an impressive technical undertaking. With both 3 and 2D versions available, this Blu-Ray is sure to be at the top of every techie geek’s must-see list. I’m reviewing the 2D version and it definitely shows. The way the movie is shot, the way it’s lit everything about it just screams out 3D. For those of us watching in 2D you just have to enjoy what is here and let the other stuff pass. The lighting and make up on this project are very impressive. I prefer more brightly lit sex scenes, but it is easy to see why they shot things this way. The authentic look of the sets and characters are the main strength of this movie. How much you enjoy this project sexually will depend on how much you like make-up sex. No, not the sex you have after a fight, but sex between heavily made up performers. Part of me loves this because of how authentic it looks. Another part of me just wants to watch Misty Stone get fucked. I can appreciate the effort and authenticity of This Ain’t Avatar. There are some technical glitches (sound synch, lighting and the like) but fans of the original will enjoy watching this XXX rated adventure. I’m sure this will win some awards and it deserves them. I’m just going to look for something a little less technically impressive when it’s “go time.”
