Top Guns Bracket Challenge Winner: USC CPA

The Big Dance is over and with virtually everyone’s brackets in shambles, the winner of the 2011 Top Guns Bracket Challenge is….USC CPA. From is 15 for 15 southeast bracket to his accurate pick of the UConn Huskies to win it all, he led virtually from wire to wire and ended up in the 99th percentile of all ESPN brackets. Not too shabby.

For his efforts, USC CPA will get a Digtial Playground prize package that includes a signed copy of Digital Playground’s new mega-hit “Top Guns.” The DVD/Blu-Ray combo back has been personally autographed by the cast of the movie as well as a movie poster signed by Jesse Jane and Riley Steele.

Two other winners mpku97 and tap1974 won autographed movie posters for their second and third place finishes. Both finished above 89% of other ESPN entrants, but came well short of the winner’s total.

Of the 25 entrants, only USC CPA correctly picked UConn as the winner of the big game. No one picked Butler to be in the game. In fact, no one picked Butler to make the Final Four. In a crazy year of upsets, a winning bracket this good is pretty impressive.

My own entry tied for 7th place. Duke killed me early and I was out long before the Final Four. I don’t feel too bad though. Only the winner scored points during the Final Four. The rest of us had our picks knocked out long before then.
