Video-X-Pix Garners 3 Best Classic DVD Nominations for 2006 AVN Awards

NEW YORK Adult Golden Age distributor Video-X-Pix garnered the most nominations in the Best Classic DVD category for the 2006 AVN Awards.

Video-X-Pix’s three nominees are Misbehavin’, directed by noted adult director Chuck Vincent and featuring AVN Hall of Famers Eric Edwards and Gloria Leonard, as well as fan favorite Arcadia Lake and mainstream actor Sonny Landham; Gerard Damiano’s People, directed by Anthony Spinelli and written by Deep Throat director Gerard Damiano and starring Samantha Fox, Jamie Gillis, Hershel Savage and Edwards, all Hall of Famers, and Felicia, shot in 1976 by Max Pecas and starring Beatrice Harnois, Eva Kiss, Marlene Myller, Nicole Daudet and Rebecca Brooke.

“The three nominees from Video-X-Pix AVN has chosen for the Best Classic DVD category showcase names that people know even if they’re casual viewers of porn,” Steven Morowitz, co-owner of Video-X-Pix said. “Misbehavin’, Gerard Damiano’s People and Felicia were shot on film and they all have that special touch that made Porn’s Golden Age sparkle, with beautiful starlets and high production values.”

Morowitz also thanked AVN for the nominations.

“At Video-X-Pix, we go through a laborious process to author and encode our titles from film to DVD,” he said. “We thank AVN for recognizing our efforts in the Best Classic DVD category and that they’ve nominated three of our titles for the honor. We’ll also continue to put out the Golden Age classics from the ’70s and ’80s on DVD in the best possible quality.”
