Investigative reporter and talk show host, Marty Griffen spoke with Joone for over 30 minutes as they fielded calls from students, consumers and parents about the controversial showings, which were funded by student activity fees. Although he admits he’s not a porn guru, Griffen says, “I was shocked by the interest. People are split, it’s men vs. women and it’s especially the older women who are upset by this type of film. ‘Pirates’ is the best shot movie in that genre that I’ve ever seen. It’s definitely different. He [Joone] is very intelligent. He handled all the calls, even from the conservatives and he did a great job.”
