I can’t believe how quickly time flies. It’s already the start of October. Football is underway, AVN Award Nominations are around the corner and before you know it we will be off to Vegas for the annual porn gathering. It seems like only yesterday we were talking about the 05 AVN Awards and it’s already time to start wondering who will win them this year. October brings more than a changing of the season and Halloween treats. It also brings another birthday for yours truly. Since people sometimes wonder just what a guy like me wants for his birthday, I have included my porn-related birthday wish-list in between stories.
Rog’s Birthday Wish List: Item 1: Word from Jules Jordan than the next two Darkside movies will feature Aurora Snow and Jenna Haze. If the Gina Lynn version was hot, imagine how great these two would/will be.
It has taken the better part of 2005, but Bryan Xin is back on the porn map with his first release from Pulse Pictures, “Cheek Freaks.” The movie is the initial title for the new company and features eye-catching packaging. True to the title, the flick stars some of the most popular buns in porn. Flower Tucci, Mia Bangg and Kami Andrews are just a few of the freaky cheeky chicks on hand. The movie features Xin’s trademark tease footage along with some blistering anal action and a whole lot of big-butt footage. It is good to see Xin back behind the camera and Pulse is off to a great start thanks to an awesome first effort.
Rog’s Birthday Wish List: Item 2: An all So-Cal World Series between the Anaheim Angels (NOT of Los Angeles) and the San Diego Padres. Hey, it’s my list. I didn’t say it had to be realistic.
Jenna Jameson has done just about everything that can be done in the world of porn and now she can add “director” to her long list of accomplishments. She will be behind the camera for “The Provocateur” in early October. The project will star all five Club Jenna contract stars, Jesse Capelli, McKenzie Lee, Ashton Moore, Sophia Rossi and Krystal Steal. Never one to do anything on a small scale, Jenna will be shooting the project on film. “I want this movie to go beyond sexy,” says Ms. Jameson. “It will be an important showcase for the company and so we are all putting a lot of creative energy into it. I’ll be shooting on film because the movie is highly stylized and I want to showcase the extreme beauty of the girls.” Jenna, who lists Michael Mann and Cameron Crowe among her favorite directors, throws her husband, Justin Sterling in with them for good measure. I’m telling you my friends; this is just the latest step towards world domination for Ms. J.
Rog’s Birthday Wish List: Item 3: A 60GB Ipod Photo player so I can stick earphones in my ears at parties and be as anti-social as Bryan Xin.
Jenna Haze has officially announced that she will be doing scenes with guys again. This marks a big change for the former JKP girl who has spent the last three years on a strictly veggie diet. (On camera anyway.) Though she hasn’t ruled out another contract in the near future, Ms. Haze is currently working as a free agent on a limited basis. I’m sure many of us are happy to see her back and will join me in wishing Jenna good luck. Now just get your ass down Jules Jordan’s office and let’s see if you’ve still got the boy/girl heat that made us all fall in love with you.
Rog’s Birthday Wish List: Item 4: Long sit down interviews with Jenna Jameson, Jules Jordan and Tera Patrick. Not right now. Vegas will be fine. What do you say?
Red Light District is also breaking new ground with the release of their first feature, Darkside. Directed by award-winner James Avalon, Darkside is an interesting flick with a good story, better than expected acting and….gasp, great sex. We would expect the first few traits to come from Avalon, but this is the first time I have ever been able to say that one of his films is impressive for the sex scenes alone. Newcomer Penny Flame does a fantastic job with her dialog and gives us a sexual performance that is well-worthy of award consideration when that time rolls around. Hillary Scott, Julia Bond and Sunny Lane also provide great stroke material in one of the best features of 2005.
Rog’s Birthday Wish List: Item 5: The complete Batman DVD collection. How can I pass up new DVD versions of the first four movies? Way too cool. If only someone were making good comic book/super heroine porn these days.
It has taken a full year, but Digital Playground finally has their smoking hot contract girl Teagan in a Virtual Sex DVD. Digital Playground’s other contract superstar, Jesse Jane has already done her virtual DVD, but she has another big gig lined up. She will be hosting the 2006 AVN Awards. It’s a prime gig in the adult industry and certainly proves that she has become one of X-rated world’s elite female performers. Jesse is just the kind of woman who can make the show sexy, fun and I think I might just have to get myself a ticket this year to watch what she can do.
Rog’s Birthday Wish List: Item 7: The services of a good web designer so I can build a site for a good friend of mine and so I can build another that I have in the works to raise money for the hurricane victims. I’m getting them both done, but it is taking me forever.
Both Teagan and Jesse are about to explode onto your video screen with the release of “Pirates” this month. The ambitious project is a joint effort between Digital Playground and Adam & Eve. It was unveiled last month at a Hollywood premier and also stars Carmen Luvana. Janine, Evan Stone and Devon. “Pirates” is a big-budget adult movie with a really good script and sex scenes that are as pleasantly surprising as anything I have seen in years. It is certain to be a favorite at award time, but even better, it’s a great adult movie that should not be missed.
Rog’s Birthday Wish List: Item 8: Most of all, I just want you to all to take a few minutes during the month to raise a full glass of whatever you like drinking. Do so in memory of those who came before us, those who are fighting the good fight on all fronts and most of all raise it for all those we love and who love us. Cheers to you all.
A whole lot of stuff is going to happen between the time you finish the column and the time we speak again. The leaves will begin to change, the chill in the air will become sharper, a new World Series champ will be crowned and kids of all ages will have enjoyed the fun of dressing up in their favorite costume for some Halloween fun. Hopefully some grown-ups will also use the occasion to dress up and act out some of their favorite fantasies. The world of porn will keep turning despite word of a new FBI task force, 2257 regulations and those exorbitant taxes proposed by the members of Congress on the other side of the aisle.
