Once again it is time to interview Aurora Snow. Just as I did (For the first time) in January of 2001, I got to sit down Aurora in the Anabolic booth for a nice chat. We spent some time addressing those naughty rumors about a secret POV scene we shot and then I turned it over to Savana Switzer. This young woman has been reviewing toys for me for a while and has a huge crush on Aurora. Since I have interviewed Ms. Snow several times, we agreed that it would be fun to have Savana give it a try. I hope you guys enjoy it. I know I did.

INTERVIEW: Aurora Snow
Okay, it’s January, and that means it’s time to interview Aurora Snow again, for the fourth or seventh or eighth time.
(She laughs)
I believe this is the same booth I interviewed you in all those years ago, before you won all those awards, yes?
Very much so.
Many, many years ago. And many awards ago.
Many, yes. (She laughs)
So we’re in the Anabolic booth.
Yes, we are.
And you’re here, signing a calendar.
Yes.
You’re Miss July, yes?
I am for this calendar, yes. And I believe it’s a scene from Gangbang Girl #33. And it is a very romantic scene, as I am being stuffed from every which way. It’s a very hardcore calendar, which I wouldn’t hang in the office.
There seem to be penises in both of your lower orifices.
Yes.
And one near your face.
There are indeed. Romantic, like I just said. (She laughs)
It was a prom date.
Yes.
Now, we were just discussing how you’re one of a select handful who has done more than one Gangbang Girl.
Yes.
Usually, it’s one and done. But not for you.
No, actually, but on one of them, I didn’t do anal, which was Gangbang Girl #27, and then in Gangbang Girl #33, I decided to go for it and do anal with 13 guys. I had a great time.

Because webmasters are mean! (She laughs) No, most of them are very dishonest. I’m having a very tough time finding an honest webmaster, and a trustworthy one at that. So, when I come across one, you’ll know, because my website will be up. I thought I had come across one, and well, I hadn’t.

Right, absolutely. I like to work on percentages, so if my site is doing well and profiting, my webmaster is profiting from my site profiting.
What else have you been up to?
Mostly feature dancing. I’ve been feature dancing an awful lot, so I haven’t been home to make a whole lot of movies. I’ve done a couple and I’m up for an AVN award for ‘Insertz,’ which was really just fun.
Can you do that voice?
You know what? If I can see it, as soon as I see the movie, I can mimic things very quickly. I have to have just a couple of seconds of hearing it, and I can mimic it. Originally, I started out doing the voice differently, and then Roy Karch, who was directing it, said, ‘Come here, I want you to see this.’ So I watched about a minute or so of it, and then I got it. I had it, I was all over the place, it was great. I haven’t actually seen it yet.
It’s great. It was fun. And you were up for Best Supporting Actress last year, too, for Rumor Had ‘Em.
Yes! Another Roy Karch film.
So, Roy Karch gets you AVN Awards.
You know what? Because Roy Karch puts me in movies where I actually get to act, and not everybody will do that.
Do you like to do that?
I love to do that.
Well, you still like to have sex.
Oh, I love to have sex! That’s just a given. (She laughs)
Okay. Now, speaking of loving to have sex, apparently, there is a secret website. It is so secret, in fact, that the CIA can’t even find it, but someone that we both sort of know can. Actually, first he said that you showed him a website that shows you and I doing a sex scene together.
I heard about that. Actually, the story got better, because another party got involved. My guy got involved because it was told to him during the filming of Cluster Fuck for Sin City that I had decided to tell him personally about all of this on the BTS Tapes. And that was so long ago, and he has the BTS Tapes with him, and my guy is supposed to go over and have a beer and watch those tapes. Which will be interesting.
All I want to do is see them, because if I actually had sex with you, I’m sorry to say that I don’t remember.
(She laughs)
And that’s just a crime, because I would want to remember. So I want to see the scenes so I can at least see if I was any good. Was I any good?
You know, I think you were pretty good, but from my memory, I’m thinking we both must have been pretty hammered. (She laughs)
What I’m thinking, though, is since your guy said it’s okay as long as he films it and my wife said it’s okay with her, we may as well go ahead and do it.
Oh yes! The rumor’s already out there, it’s not going to get worse. We may as well go for it.
But then everybody would know that I can’t last five seconds with you.
Well, you know what? We can loop it. (She laughs)
Wow, we can loop it-thanks. Thank you. That’s great.
(She laughs)
Okay, now, for the record, have we ever had sex, on- or off-camera?
No, we have not.
Yet.
Yet. We have not had sex yet. On- or off-camera.
To this point, no one has ever seen such a website, because no such site exists. And believe me, readers, if I ever have the pleasure, you will be the second, third, millionth person to know.
(She laughs)
Because I’m going to tell EVERYONE!
Absolutely. (She laughs)
I get that Aurora might want to hide the fact that we had sex, but there’s no way I’m hiding it.
Nah. (She laughs)
So, we may someday shoot a scene and dedicate it to a certain someone, just for fun.
We may.
Now, what I’m going to do is turn this over to Savana, our resident toy reviewer. A little history: when she first started talking about working for my site, she expressed an interest in pornography and asked, ‘By the way, do you know Aurora Snow?’
(She laughs)
And I said, ‘You really don’t read my site very much, do you, because I’m kind of in love.’ So, we instantly bonded over this mutual lust for you.
Awesome!
I think she’s got a better chance than I do, because she’s cute.
She’s adorable.
So, I’m going to turn it over to her for a few questions from a new interviewer.
Savana Switzer: Hi! Nice to meet you again.
Nice to meet you again, too.
SS: This is Savana Switzer, and I am sitting at the fruition of every intelligent 16-year-old male’s fantasy. I’m sitting across from Aurora Snow, as you all know, and this is a dream come true for me. So, just wanted to let you know that I appreciate it and I am very excited. Okay, so what should we talk about? Why don’t we start out with what got you into the business? What made you decide, ‘I know, porn!’
Well, I was going to UC-Irvine, and I realized I didn’t want to be one of those people paying off college loans until they turned 50. You know, I wanted to have a life! So, what better way to pay off college loans than taking off my clothes? I figured I could probably make a lot of money. I’d never done anything like it before. It was almost morally challenging, it really was, and I asked myself, ‘Can I walk away from this and still feel okay with myself?’ I don’t know what perception I had of porn, but it wasn’t one that matched the reality of it. So I went and I did it, and I had a lot of fun. I thought, ‘Hey, this is cool!’ which is why I ended up staying in it for so long and really loving it and having a great time, and finding out what it’s really about. It’s not the bad world people make it out to be.
SS: And so, would it be something you would encourage other people to get into?
I’m not saying that, because I think that it’s a hard industry. It will take away a person’s innocence, and innocence is a hard thing to maintain. I think innocence should be maintained as long as a person can have it.
SS: I think that’s a really good point. Let’s talk about the fans, then. By and large, what’s the nicest thing a fan has ever said to you?
Um, well, today, for example, some of the nice things that they have said have been ‘You’ve been in the business a long time,’ and it’s true. I’ve been in for almost eight years, and the nicest thing a fan has said is ‘You haven’t changed.’ And I thought, ‘Aw, that’s sweet.’ One of the other compliments is for fans to come up to me and go, ‘Wow! You look like your pictures!’ I’m sure that’s a big compliment.
SS: (She laughs) I have to tell you, when I was standing outside your booth yesterday and Rog was starting to make the connections, there was a very nice woman at least 60 or so who asked if I was standing in line for you. I said that I was, and she showed me a couple of pictures that she had taken of you at last year’s convention, and one of the things that she told me was that you are one of the most authentic persons in the business.
Oh, wow!
SS: Which I thought was a pretty cool compliment. She talked about how her oldest son loves you and how her husband loves you. You’re like a family event.
Oh, you mean Jean! She’s little and her husband Joe.
SS: Yeah!
This is the thing. I sit with and remember my friends. Their son’s name is Bruce. I remember their names and their kids and their dogs. After I see them for so many times, they almost feel like friends.
SS: So you see a lot of the same faces, year after year.
Yes. New faces and then the same ones that keep coming back, which is awesome.
SS: Oh, that we do. (She laughs)
(She laughs)
SS: So, let’s talk a little bit more about this POV that you and Rog shot. Because I’m not going to lie, I’m a little insulted I wasn’t invited.
We should set up another thing. Me, you.
SS: Let Rog hold the camera, maybe?
Yeah, let Rog hold the camera, he’ll like it.
SS: Yeah, so what’ll it be? Your POV or my POV?
I think we should switch back and forth.
SS: That could be really good. We could market that.
Your POV, then my POV, then maybe Rog’s POV.
SS: (She laughs) I think we’re on to something here. I think that that mutual person that you and Rog both know, I think he might even be up for financing it. What do you think?
Yeah! I think he really would be. I think he threw the rumor out there, hoping to get in on it.
SS: We could launch a whole Aurora Snow POV line. And then you could hook up with random fan girlies like myself who don’t have anything better to do with their time than lust after you.
Awesome! I’m very happy to hear that. That’s great.
SS: So, have you had a chance to read any of the toy reviews?
No, I’m sorry, I haven’t.
SS: Aww.
I have this aversion to on-line stuff, unless I’m doing something on-line, mostly because I believe that the internet takes away from the little, tiny experiences in life. Instead of someone going to, say, the post office to mail their bills or shopping outside of their computer, maybe you might run into somebody or trip over somebody and say, ‘Hey, I’m so sorry’ and all of a sudden you’ve made this new acquaintance, which you miss by doing everything on-line. So I think people are losing some of that experience by sitting around a computer so much. No offense to anybody who does that! I don’t mean it that way. I just mean for me, personally, I love life and I want to get out there and live as much of it as I can.
SS: As soon as the camera stops rolling, I promise to tell you everything beautiful that I have ever written about you and all of my sad, textual obsessions.
(She laughs) Awww, that’s so sweet.
SS: When you look back on it, what movie was the turning point for your career?
Honestly, I won the AVN Performer of the Year, and I won that primarily for all the stuff that I did for Anabolic. I’ve done the double-anals, my triple-anals, all that other stuff that’s out there.
SS: And what’s your favorite movie of yours that you’ve done?
You know, favorite movie is hard. You’ve got your favorite maybe Group Scene, which would probably be one of the Gangbangs. They were incredibly fun. I have never, ever done a Gangbang and never even thought about one until I worked for Anabolic, so that was kind of a big step. So, maybe one of those. And maybe in terms of an acting movie, ‘Insertz’ was so much fun to do. I got to talk really fast. Maybe for something I’ve directed, I love ‘Assploitations.’ However, I’m really fond of ‘Aurora Snow’s Perverted Tales.’ I just had so much fun writing that.
SS: That’s actually my favorite DVD of all time.
Thank you. You know what’s funny? I actually ran everything that I was writing past Jay, and he would say, ‘Oh no, you can’t do that, it’s awful.’ And I would say, ‘But I love it. It’s funny. People will like it.’ (She laughs)
SS: So let’s talk about Jay. I’m a woman, so we have to go into the romantic side. How long have you two been together?
Oh, jeeze. It’s time to trade-in. (She laughs)
SS: (She laughs)
No, we’ve known each other for seven years. Long, long time.
SS: Do you think it’s easier to be in the business when your partner is as well?
It’s nice to have somebody that you have outside support, that you go home and say, ‘This drove me nuts, what do I do about this?’ You need somebody to help you navigate through the business. It’s not something you should do yourself, it’ll drive you nuts.
SS: Well, just in case you’re ever wondering, I’m up for you navigating me through any kind of business.
Awesome.
SS: I’m very willing, and ambitious…and this is starting to sound like a pesonals ad.
(She laughs)
SS: Okay, so you’ve been together for a long time, and it’s helpful to have him around. Have you two worked on anything together?
Oh my God, we’ve done so many movies together. We’ve done so many scenes together, probably well over a hundred.
vIs there a difference between the scenes that you do together as opposed to what you do in your private life?
Absolutely. When you’re doing scenes together, you’re doing it to really show off and make a show of it. Who can out-do the other one in a scene.
SS: Final set of questions for you. If you had your choice to work with anyone in the industry that you haven’t worked with yet, who would it be?
I don’t know. I don’t always pay attention to the people in the business, performer-wise, unless I’m casting them in my movies. And then I’m looking at how good they perform with other people. I prefer to get cast with them, and then I end up liking them, or not. I never would have known if I had been close minded.
SS: In the last interview with Rog, you mentioned you were in Kansas City about a year and a half ago. That’s where I’m from and my father owns a bar down there and we have karaoke parties where we raffle off sex toys for people to participate in karaoke.
Oh, awesome.
SS: One of the prizes we had was one of your movies. I don’t remember the title but you’re standing on the cover, you have these hot-pink thigh high striped stockings on, and I know you’ve done a lot of movies so I’m not helping you at all. But it was funny, because we had some DVDs from Hustler, a sex toy from Penthouse and your DVD wound up being the top prize that night. That was the one that everyone was fighting over.
Wow.
SS: And then when I had a conversation about it with Rog later, he said, ‘Actually, I sent that to you for your private collection.’
(She laughs) That’s really awesome.
SS: Yeah! So you’ve got a very rabid, fan-following in Kansas. If you were to ever make an appearance in Kansas City, I think as the bar owner’s daughter I can personally guarantee that you’d drink for free.
