Too Fucking Funny Not To Pass On
When I first read about this story involving a full grown man hunting down and choking a teenager over an insult suffered during an on line game I was appalled as anyone. It’s just not something any sane person can ever condone, right?
When I read the following blog I found myself laughing and then really thinking.

Without giving away the punch line in this column, I loved the humor here. It’s funny, because it’s got a little truth to it. I’ll never condone this kind of violence and anyone tracking down anyone for real violence for virtual infractions is scary enough to be taken off the streets. If it were my son and some dude came after him, I’d take the fucker out before he got a chance to wrap his creepy fingers around his next. That said, I would probably echo this line to my kid “When you act like a shithead to someone twice your size, they may try to kill you. Welcome to the last 2.5 million years of human evolution.” That is one of those lines that just hurts because I didn’t think of it. I love it and I’m sure that it’s the sort of thing my own father would have told me. I’m all for free speech, but something when you say stupid shit, bad things happen.
