PIRATES” NAMED ‘FEATURE OF THE YEAR’ BY CAVR
“Pirates” has been named 2005 Feature of the Year by CAVR.Com. Readers of the site are adult entertainment consumers and they were asked to vote for their favorite movie. “Pirates” received a resounding 56% of the total votes, more than 3 times that of the runner up. CAVR.Com stands for Cyber Adult Video Reviews and targets consumers of the adult industry providing honest reviews of product. Site CEO, Den explains the voting process, “The votes are tracked by email address and only vote from each address is accepted in the final tally. I wanted to avoid duplicate votes from the same person so I could provide an honest turn out. I am a fan of adult entertainment and it is CAVR’s goal to provide a legitimate review service to other consumers.”
Director Joone was pleased with the win. He says, “CAVR considers almost every DVD made in a given year, and to have “Pirates” named Feature of the Year by a crowd of hard-core connoisseurs is a huge honor. In addition to CAVR’s trophy, “Pirates” took 11 top trophies at AVN’s 2006 Award Show, more honors than any single video or film production in the shows’ 23-year history. The awards included Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Director, Best DVD, Best Video Feature, Best High-Definition Production, Best Special Effects, Best Music, Best All-Girl Sex Scene and Best On-Line Marketing Campaign. “Pirates” was also named 2005’s Feature of the Year by Rog Reviews, 2005’s #1 DVD by DVD Talk, 2005’s Critic’s Choice by Adult DVD Reviews, 2005’s First Choice by Nightmoves, 2005’s Best Feature by Orgazmik and 2005’s Best DVD by Italy’s Ciarltano.
