(Anaheim, CA) This past week was the Fall convention of the Kush Expo, held twice a year at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. Literally across the street from the Magic Kingdom – Disneyland, where most everyone was getting a contact high from the Kush Cloud floating over the area. I mean, there was a 420 Medicinal Marijuana Tent in back of the show where you could get “relief” from your pain and troubles.

Being new to the “Ganja” community, I was first introduced to the medical marijuana scene from one of my PR friends, adult starlet Sensi Pearl. While doing a remote interview segment for a pilot for a future reality TV series – “The Ganja Goddess” I was welcomed into a world of “shiny happy people”.

I was in for a trip…literally. And this Fall’s Expo was no exception.

The Expo hall was huge, with vendors for products and services for medicinal marijuana in booths back to back on the convention floor. And right in center, was the stage for the highly anticipated, Hot Kush Girl Contest, that the convention is now famously known for having. But I’ll get to that in a minute.

You can find anything here, I mean ANYTHING related to the herb. Pipes, paraphernalia, grinders, t-shirts for the love of pot, energy drinks with the miraculous hemp oil, grow lights, computer software for dispensary inventories, mobile truck growing units, vaporizers, ….I could go on forever. But I did see a few new things that caught my eye and seemed to be quite unique for this event.

First and foremost was the new vaporizer from VIPORX – The Electronic Personal Vaporizer. This thing is ridiculously cool! Powered by a rechargeable battery and through a USB cable with various adaptors for car, home or laptop, you put a dab of concentrate oil in it, charge it and when the blue light goes on – you are ready to use. It is so hip and cool looking, I was amazed at the great price they were selling them for. I’ve searched high and low for more info on the net for this item, but it just too new and most of the ones they were selling might have prototypes but they are awesome and hope to have a review view soon up on www.ganjagoddess.tv but if you are a smokeshop owner looking for the next big thing, check out their website at: www.viporx.com

As I snaked in and out of the rows of vendors and getting nice gifts here and there from everyone…I think I have a 100 lighters now,…I stumbled upon The Deodorizer Bag from NHM Distributing. These various sized doobage bags claim to be the ultimate concealment for unwanted odors. They are USA hand stitched bags of a lightweight patented activated charcoal cloth. I was amazed at all the hot and sexy Ganja Girls around. This place puts to shame to alot of the adult conventions for T&A! By some lovely ladies was a booth for a new type of grinder. The V Syndicate makes these “credit card” size grinders that is like a mini cheese grater. You see them at www.theVsyndicate.com

They have many designs to choose from and they fit in your wallet to take anywhere. I think they also can design custom made logo ones for your dispensary or business…but don’t quote me on that.

Next up with the hottest model I’ve seen…but she kept hiding behind the product when I brought my camera out…she’s shy. ;-P

The new MDS: Medicine Dispensing Systems unit. It’s like a huge soda/candy machine, but for dispensing cannabis product. You have to see this at www.cannamedbox.com

It even offers a finger print scan on the unit for dispensing product. Very high tech and makes room for small dispensary locations and cuts costs on product since less overhead and payroll. The unit takes a member card much like a debit card but issued from the collective. You can see the product on a monitor on the front of unit and out the medicine comes. Very handle and cool.

I meet up with a new company that offers a mobile phone app to help find dispensaries and delivery services for cannabis medicine anywhere offered. They are called, www.THCFinder.com and hope to be the leader in this new technology for patients. They are going strong in their marketing and hope to offer video on their application of all the dispensaries and collectives they represent. The love to say they are, “The TRUE Bud Finder”. Some great people behind this product and I give them my seal of approval.
