This year we are adding Podcasts to the site. What better place to start than with the 2012 AVN Awards voting. As some of you may know, I have been voting in these awards for quite a few years and really enjoy the process. It’s a great honor and kind of fun to be honest.
In this first podcast I explain a bit of the process and break down the first three categories including Best Actor and Best Actress.

I enjoyed the podcast a lot (consider that the “complete praise” mentioned) and look forward to hearing more. I disagreed with some of the choices, or at least perceived ranking, but it brought forth some of the difficulties in voting all too well. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Don. I would be really interested in hearing where you disagree. Not really for argument’s sake, but to give the readers some other options for good stuff.
As someone who has only watched a very small part of the nominated porn, I can’t really judge and discuss the chosen ranking, but it’s interesting for me to heau about the thought process of a voter who has seen all the stuff. Thanks for taking the time to make the podcast.
I agree with the praise for “Runaway”, and for e.g. “Lost and found” or “Portrait of a call girl”, the actors and acrtesses nominated for those features all deserved positive recognition.
Hi Rog!
Sorry for the delayed reply (computer issues). Unlike Q, I saw many of the nominees even before the noms were finalized, refreshing my memory on those needed. Some titles like Rocki Whore really stood out just as some of the performers did. I’d have to re-listen to the podcast to provide specifics (wish it was in text form) but suffice it to say; most of the awards handed out were for titles in my top three, if not top pick. Brooklyn Lee was a favorite for new starlet due to the depth and breadth of quality performances (though Jynx Maze smoked in all of her gonzo work), Xander Corvus was an easy pick for new male and Manuel Ferrera remains at the top of the list for guys. I was a bit surprised that Top Guns and Fighters did not do better but overall, the divergence from the previous winners on Xbiz’s awards was noticeable too.
