Football Pick Em: Bono Wins An Over Due Wrap Up

This is a month or so overdue, but with Peyton Manning stealing all the headlines today I was reminded of our 2011 Pick Em pool. This was our first year of trying this pool and it went pretty well. The teams that played most every week did pretty well, but in the end there can be only one champion.

And his name is…..

Bonoone. Yes the AdultDVDTalk.com reviewer took home first place with 269 points. He was also the only one of us who actually picked more than half of the games correctly with 50.38% correct. Bono won the title by 14 points over FetishDirector who was the only one in the league to properly pick the Super Bowl. Had FetishDirector made his picks each week the race might have been even closer.

I came in third, 16 points off of the pace. I also missed a week, costing me any shot at catching up. Oddly enough, our week one leader Furhranki scored 23 points the first week which tied for the best all season. Then he just disappeared and was never seen again.

We learned a lot this year and had a lot of fun. I will start earlier next year and see if we can have even more entrants and come up with a nice prize package or something. But for this year, bragging rights will have to be enough for Bono.
