Since I’m doing my best to get a little flow going with the blog stuff I am going just jot down some weekend notes.
As some of you have noted, I have wasted far too much time on one particular troll who lives to fuck with my credibility. Since every interaction with that person, and everything he offers the world is so negative and ugly, I’m going flip it and go super positive with this entry.
This is a weekend filled with one of my favorite guilt pleasures…fantasy baseball. I’ve had drafts every day for nearly a week and I admit to being a total FBB geek. As I have for the past several years, I am playing on ESPN and have..well let’s just say WAY too many teams. I really miss the old days of IRC’s pornstar-trading. We had some fun fantasy sports leagues back in those days. Perhaps next year I’ll come up with a FBB league filled with only porn folks. Or better yet, a league filled with regular readers so one of us can come away with bragging rights. And for those who care. I like playing H2H better than Roto, almost always go for ML, though sometimes the AL vs. NL leagues are fun and am a chronic trader. Oh, and I LOVE picking at #10 this year. I have landed some good combos there. (Crawford/Wright, Crawford/D Lee, Crawford/Tejada)
It isn’t all about fantasy baseball this weekend though. We have tickets to the Angel/Dodger exhibition game tonight. It should be fun and will get us used to hitting the ball park again. We’re sharing season tickets again this season so I would imagine I’ll be talking way too much baseball over the next few months. I’ll try to keep most of my baseball rants on the message board and work on making this blog more porn related.
Last week I reviewed Jules Jordan’s Jenna Haze Darkside and really liked it. I posted on some boards that I thought it was the movie of the year (So far at least) and got some of the usual backlash. Whatever. I think it’s a great movie and that’s just my opinion. I am sure that other great movies will come along later this year, but so far this one it on top. Ironically I reviewed this just a week after doing Robby D’s Control 2 which was also one hell of a hot movie. Check out the box cover on that movie. I want that as a poster over my desk. Mmmmm, Nautica Thorn….drool.
I put up another new interview last night. This time it’s with Digital Playground starlet Sophia Santa. There are some pictures to go along with it so enjoy that. I’m also in the middle of several LONG interviews that I think you’re all going to like. I’m nearing the end of a Kami Andrews/Ivan interview that was nearly 2.5 hours long. I am also almost finished with the Mike John interview. Then it’s time for nearly 4 hours worth of Lexington Steele. Hopefully they are interesting to all of you as they were to me when we did them.
Guilty pleasure number two this weekend has been Su Doku. Since I’m pretty much caught up on work I actually sat down and ran through about 20 puzzles. I am hooked on this game. It is especially nice since it forces me to stop doing eight things at once and focus on just one.
Let’s finish with three porn thoughts…
1. What is up with companies not putting female performers’ names on the boxes? I first noticed it on a Justin Slayer movie and found that he did it again. Now there are a couple of other companies that have sent movies without any indication as to who is in the movie. Does this bug anyone else or is it just me? (Go ahead, send an email) And to anyone in the industry who is doing this, please let me know why.
2. I’m working on something bigger here, but I want to start the ball rolling. Just something to think about for future discussion. I believe that there are basically two types of porn viewer, the Voyeuristic and the Vicarious. Much more coming, but now that I’ve started I have to finish.
3. Final note for today….this is for anyone and everyone in the industry reading this. The first one of you, talent, director, company owner, PR person whoever, who writes in with something to say, good, bad or otherwise gets the opening of Monday’s blog. Weigh in on anything you want. Take issue with me, tell me I’m great. Pimp your new movie, your new starlet, your new web site. Make a political statement. Make a baseball prediction. Tell us all to vote for you in a poll. First one who writes in gets it…..So get going.
