All right, this is one of those movies that has me on the fence. It’s a porn parody that is great at being a parody and only pretty good at being porn. Not that it’s bad at the smut mind you. My biggest problem stems from the simple fact that for a parody to be truly great porn I think there needs to be some built in sexual heat. I can honestly say that in all of the time I have spent watching Three Stooges movies over the years, I never once thought it would be fun to see them fuck. It is male-dominated slapstick with virtually no female characters to develop sexual fantasies around. That makes it tough to build a super hot XXX movie around. The parodies that do this successfully usually have great female casts. This movie has a cast where the three biggest names are all men. That the three men in question all give award-worthy performances is great for the parody half of the equation. Anthony Rosano, Evan Stone and James Bartholet carry the dialog and do so brilliantly. The dialog is parody-specific and the physical slapstick comedy is unlike anything else required of adult performers. The script, fight scenes and overall tone is spot on. The only thing missing is a massive cream pie fight at the end of the flick. Instead we get a big orgy finish instead. Nice substitution I’d say. The lack of A level female talent doesn’t sink the movie completely, but it slows it down considerably. Most of the sex is well shot and the girls are cute. However, none of them really stand out. Anyone who loved the Stooges will enjoy this XXX Parody. In fact, it’s almost a mandatory purchase for people who loved the slapstick trio. For my money, it is much better at the parody end than the XXX.
