What’s Your Favorite SCARY MOVIE?
For The X-Rated Critics Organization,
It’s Wicked Pictures’ CAMP CUDDLY PINES POWER TOOL MASSACRE

CENTURY CITY, CA – (APRIL 21, 2006 DMPR) – “What’s your favorite scary movie, Sydney?” This line, spoken a decade ago by an anonymous caller to Neve Campbell’s Sydney Prescott in Wes Craven’s SCREAM, quietly launched a resurgence in horror film popularity that has yet to lose financial momentum.

Today, the word in Hollywood seems to be “we need more remakes and sequels,” with SCARY MOVIE 4 currently dominating the box office, and new treatments of WHEN A STRANGER CALLS and Craven’s THE HILLS HAVE EYES raking up additional millions in profits. And if that isn’t enough to satisfy your need to experience splatter film deja vu, the months ahead promise new treatments of THE OMEN, THE WICKER MAN, SISTERS, BLACK CHRISTMAS, and a big budget refurbishing of the title that jump-started the slasher era, Sean S. Cunningham’s FRIDAY THE 13th.

Although critical acclaim has always been an elusive splatter film component, Canoga Park-based WICKED PICTURES has singlehandedly reversed this trend with Jonathan Morgan’s slyly subversive CAMP CUDDLY PINES POWER TOOL MASSACRE, which has won nine major adult industry awards since January, including two new trophies — Best Comedy Or Parody and Best DVD Extras — last night at the X-Rated Critics Association Awards Show in Century City, CA.

But the evening wasn’t just devoted to celebrating the many charms of Morgan’s latest and greatest creation. The newest addition to Wicked’s legendary family of award-winning performers and directors, industry icon Randy Spears, received a richly deserved Best Single Performance – Actor award for his brilliant work in Brad Armstrong’s historical epic ETERNITY (Spears received the AVN nod for this performance in January as well).

And the adult industry’s reigning Princess Of All Media, Stormy Daniels, lived up to her title once again by rightfully taking home the Mainstream Adult Media Star award for a year of exhaustive high-profile crossover exposure that’s included memorable work in the Steve Carell vehicle THE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN, walking the red carpet at the Grammy Awards, rocking the Kodak Theater on Oscar night, teaming up with renowned rapper / actor Busta Rhymes to host one of Las Vegas’ hottest nightclub events, and hosting two days of non-stop beach debauchery at Winter Music Conference 2006 in South Miami Beach.

Daniels, who won back-to-back AVN awards for her co-writing and acting contributions to CAMP CUDDLY PINES POWER TOOL MASSACRE, also won ADAM FILM WORLD GUIDE’s “Crossover” award earlier this week thanks to her consistently high mainstream exposure and her work on THE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN.

A knowing slasher parody that’s as hilarious as it is horrific, Morgan’s CAMP CUDDLY PINES POWER TOOL MASSACRE has become the first DVD in history to win the Best Sex Comedy award from all three major industry voting bodies – ADULT VIDEO NEWS, ADAM FILM WORLD, and now the XRCO. And with terror flicks currently scaring up millions in box office receipts weekly, retailers everywhere are putting this award winner back on prominent shelf display to take advantage of all the extra attention the genre is receiving.

With the mainstream press currently celebrating the adult arena as the vanguard of cutting-edge technology, this movie’s status as Wicked’s first ever three-disc, one-title release makes it a perfect example of the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence!

Look out, Wes and Sean, there’s a new name at the forefront of the horror genre: Wicked Pictures.

And while it may not have blink-and-you’ll-miss-them cameos from Shaq or Dr. Phil, Jonathan Morgan’s CAMP CUDDLY PINES POWER TOOL MASSACRE is truly every adult critic’s favorite “scary movie!”
