For those of you who could care less about fantasy football, here is a game that’s a little different. It’s a pick em pool just like you would see in Vegas. It’s simple. Players pick games based on actual betting lines and score points for each win. No money on the line, but there are prizes. It is not too late to join. Just follow the sign up instructions below. It takes about a minute to sign up and judging by some of our scores, less than that each week to pick games.

After two weeks on top for Mistress Dee (Sorry, couldn’t resist) from Severe Society, the standings have a new name at the top. Using a solid 18 point week, Bono has taken over the top spot with 85 total points for the week. (55.2% of games picked correctly) His ascent to the top had at least a little bit to do with the fact that Mistress Dee forgot to make her picks for the week. (Or perhaps she was just trying to give us all a fighting chance after building up such a huge lead.) Fetish Director of SevereSocietyFilms.com moved into third place after scoring 16 for a season total of 83. Montana Sax had the best week, grabbing 20 points and bringing his season total to 83, good for a second place tie just two back of the new leader. By taking the week off, Dee dropped to 7th place with 77 points. She is still ahead of two teams that have managed to make picks five weeks in a row and still be at the bottom of the league. With Bono on top with 85, the difference between first and last place (shared by Danza Slappers and Aly Sinclair) is just 25 points. Still plenty of time to see some movement.

With five players who still haven’t entered a single game, there is still room for people to join and make a run at the middle of the pack.

Week five saw one game that we all got right and one that we all missed. That is the first time this season that this has happened. We all took the Saints as a 1 point underdog against the Bears and Drew Brees and company made winners of us all. On the other hand, everyone bought into Peyton Manning and took the Broncos giving 7 points against the Cowboys. The epic shootout that ensued made losers of us all. Only Hunter took a chance on the Titans against the Chiefs, racking up a loss for his team. The rest of the games has at least two wrong/right picks.
