The latest Will Ryder parody is an interesting one. It comes from one of the most critically acclaimed mainstream movies in recent memory. Full disclosure, I didn’t like it that much. It was confusing, too cool for its own good and overrated. From a parody standpoint that doesn’t really matter. Of course, it also wasn’t exactly the kind of movie that made me think, “hey, it would be so hot to see characters bone.” (I know I’m probably the only one, but I don’t find J Law to be remotely interesting, talented or fuckable.) With all that said, this movie is a whole lot better than I expected. The look and sound of the movie are dead on. Ryder gets a chance to exercise his creativity with costumes and hair that stand out for all the right reasons. The script is also really good with enough of a nod to the original to please those who liked it more than I did. I really enjoyed the acting performances from top to bottom. Tommy Gunn and Penny Pax stand out in lead roles. They nail their roles in award-worthy performances. Penny also has a couple of hot moments sexually. Paired with Ryan McLane for an early BJ and a full scene later, she shows off her sexual skills and impressive curves. Aaliyah Love also does a really nice job with her dialog and turns in a memorable sex scene as well. Carter Cruise is one of the hottest stars right now and she pops in here for a three-way that is well worth a look. All of the sex scenes are pretty good here. That really helps make the movie flow. Overall this is a solid parody for lots of reasons. It’s an interesting script that is very well acted by the primary players. The costumes and music were excellent as always. What I like best is that Ryder managed to make a movie with meaningful sex scenes that were hot from a movie that had zero sex appeal. That helps make this one of the best parodies of the year.
