New Audio Interviews, HD Feedback & Super Bowl
New Audio Interviews: Some of you may have missed it, but I’ve got two new interviews up this week. Both of them have text and audio versions at the same time. Those of you visit the interview page will find Nicole Sheridan and Lacie Heart ready to go. Sunny Lane is coming later in the week and I’m hoping to have at least one new interview per week for a while. I’m going to work on finding the right mike to help with the background noise, but I think these first two came out all right. Nicole is always a good interview and has some interesting things to say about her photography and her future in the adult industry. Lacie is a lot of fun and a huge smart ass. What else could you say about a woman who introduces herself and two seconds later is telling everyone that I’m the guy who gives her “bad reviews?” During the interview she defines my job in a similar style. “It’s your job to burn people.” Says Lacie. I must have done something right, because she makes a confession about her criminal past that she hasn’t openly admitted to before. I hope you guys enjoy these.
Eye Candy: We do a lot of hard core stuff, but how about a little something for couples.
HD Feedback: Earlier this week, I did my first HD DVD review of Digital Playground’s Island Fever 3. I ran it side by side with the DVD copy of the same movie so I could really see the difference in picture quality. I was understandably impressed by the improvement. Most of you already know that I’m not a huge techno-geek when it comes to high end picture and sound quality on porn flicks. It isn’t that I enjoy bad picture quality, but I old school in the fact that for me it’s about the quality of the smut that really matters. If something is hot, it’s hot and all the whistles and bells can’t really improve on it. I’m excited about HD, but my reviews of these DVDs are still going to be primarily about the quality of the sex and the heat produced by the material. That said, I got an interesting and informative email from a reader that I want to share with you. It’s really long, so I have truncated it a bit.

I encourage you to look at other HD-DVDs and compare them to Island Fever 3…I would say IF3 has a C+ quality at best for HD-DVD. There’s a good reason for that…it’s only a 720p transfer (most mainstream HD-DVDs are 1080p), but even Camp Cuddly Pines looks a couple times better on HD-DVD (it was also 720p). Most HD releases have a 3-D look to them that IF3 doesn’t really have. IF3 looks more like a solid upconverted standard DVD than an HD one.Just wouldn’t want your customers/readers to come away thinking this was a top-notch DVD video-wise…although I hear Pirates is going to be (it will be the first with a full 1080p transfer)…feel free to pass this along as a “second opinion”..Of course, this is just my personal honest opinion, and not any grudge against DP, who I still think puts out the best quality stuff in the industry, A/V wise.

Thank you very much for the input. As I stated above, I’m more focused on the quality of the content so this kind of stuff is great to know. I still stand by my side by side comparison. The picture quality is a whole lot better. Apparently it will be even greater with other releases. I’ll have to talk to someone at Wicked about Cuddly Pines and be looking for other HD releases as they come.

Lost Art of Facials: I was watching Jules Jordan’s “Facial Demolotion” and I realized that it has been a while since we’ve seen such a good facial flick. It wasn’t that long ago that big facial pops were kind of the pinnacle of porn climaxes. Cum swallowing, bukkake and cream pies seems to have replaced the facial on the porn landscape. (The difference between a facial and a bukkake? That’s a long discussion for another time.) Jules takes a great cast in this movie and has them blasted with between two and six loads. For anyone who likes pretty girls doing group oral scenes and then getting just covered in cream, this movie is perfect. It’s one of Jules’ best efforts in a long time. Agree or disagree? Super Bowl: OK, one more day until the big game. Two weeks of hype, hyperbolae and hoopla are about to come to an end. Will Peyton will big the big? What commercials will make us laugh? More importantly, how long will it take me to get pizza during the game? We’re skipping the big part this year and will just be hanging out watching the game. As much as I hate the Manning family, I can’t quite put Peyton in the same douche-bag category with his punk ass little brother. So when I have to pick who I want to win, it comes down to a Petyon/Payton thing. I’ve liked the Colts a little since way back in the Bert Jones days. I also like Peyton because of the way he plays the game and the way he pokes fun of himself off the field. I like that. The Payton half of the equation? That’s simple and I touched on it before. When I was a kid I loved, I mean LOVED to watch Walter Payton play football. He was an amazing athlete who suffered through some truly horrible seasons on really awful Bears teams. He did it with class and grace, never complaining even as it was painfully obvious that he was the only guy on that team with an ounce of talent or heart. Someone should really force TO to sit down and watch old Walter Patyon game tapes. Fast forward to that dominant Bears Super Bowl team. Walter finally gets to play in the big game. Perhaps the single greatest running back in the history of the sport takes center stage and what does Mike Ditka do? He hands the ball to a fat freak instead of Payton. For some reason, Ditka felt that it was more important for William Perry, a defensive lineman of questionable skill to score a touchdown. He slapped Payton and football fans the world over directly in the face and I haven’t forgiven Dikta or the Bears for this. I don’t hate them or anything. It isn’t that deep, but when it comes down to picking between two teams you don’t love or hate, you look for whatever can find. So my heart says “Go Colts” but if I’m picking with my wallet and head….Bears 17 Colts 10. There you go folks. Rush right out and put your money on the Colts because I never seem to actually pick the right winners. Enjoy the game everyone and don’t forget, I’m putting together a fantasy baseball league for anyone who wants to join. Send me an email and I’ll give you the details when the time comes.
