Lockwood Smack Down? Alt-Porn Battle?
Laughing My Ass Off: I’ve got so much stuff to cover, but I made a huge mistake this morning. I grabbed Season 9 of South Park and popped it in. It’s really, really hard to write when you’re laughing your ass off. Sex changes, abortion jokes and “Jewphins” what the fuck? I may have to turn this off in order to get anything done.

More on Lockwood: So in the aftermath of the Kurt Lockwood meltdown, my name got thrown into the mix. DonHouston threw my name up in an email he sent to Luke Ford. Naturally it ended up on LukeIsBack.com. (Why does my name only come when there is something bad? Was Mike Ramone right? Does Luke hate me?) In discussing Kurt’s physical assault on Gram, Don said I’m sure if Lackwood tried that with Roger Pipe, Rog would’ve opened a can of whoop ass on the flaky little guy, as would about half the people covering the industry. I just want to make it clear that I’m not getting into this on any level. I’m not challenging Kurt and I’m not even saying I could or would open up a can of anything. That’s not my style. I don’t know the whole story behind the video, but what we see is pretty damning. Whether or not Gram actually called Kurt a “fat” or not isn’t the point. (Do we even know if Gram used that word?) I happen to hate that word and am down on slurs in general. Even so, you don’t go around bullying journalists, even in this business. What Kurt did was out of line. Far from challenging him to a fight, I would like to hear his side of the story. I’m not going to track him down though. He knows where to find me if he wants to. Look, Kurt is an easy target. He openly takes things up his ass. Right or wrong, a LOT of people see that as gay. Even those who don’t are very quick to make fun of someone in Kurt’s position. He doesn’t help things by his reactions though. He is quick to anger and explodes verbally or physically. We all know that makes someone an even bigger target. What is my point? See I told you South Park was too big of a distraction. (Hippy extermination? Classic!) My point was simply that I am sure this will get twisted around somehow. These things always do. I had nothing to do with any challenge to Kurt. I’m giving him as much slack as I can given what we’ve seen on tape. That said, if someone wants to set up a boxing match between people in porn, I’ll gladly step into the ring and take a beating. If the price is right.

Alt-Challenge: Last week I talked about the little alt-porn challenge that Cindi Loftus (CindisNakedTruth.com) put to me. She got me a copy of Joanna Angel’s Porny Monster with the intention of discussing and debating the project. Given my tendency to loathe anything with the dreaded alt-tag on it, it seemed like a good idea. Trouble is….I didn’t hate it. In fact, I kind of like the movie. It features pale tattooed chicks portraying NYC Club Kids, so if that isn’t your thing, then there is a bit of an issue. Otherwise, it’s a cool movie. It is the XXX version of Party Monster with some humor thrown in there. Joanna is great and hot a always. The sex is pretty well shot with some dim lighting at times, but that fits with the story and tone of the project. Maybe this alt-porn, maybe it’s not. It just isn’t the sort of pretentious bullshit that other companies pass off under their alt labels. There is a non-Valley feel to be sure, but I don’t think Joanna have the same contempt for her audience that we see from other directors in the genre. Thoughts? Man, how are Cindi and I going to debate this now?
