Already Looking for Someone to Blame & Another Porn Tax Coming

Already Starting: I knew it was going to be bad when I logged on to AOL just hours after the Virginia Tech shootings and found a headline story already looking to blame school officials and local police for not acting more quickly. These may be legitimate concerns, but such a rush to blame seems to be the order of the day. Now that we know a little something about the killer, everyone is rushing to read his blog, understand his pain and even critique his one act plays. Seriously, someone posted a couple of little plays he wrote and wow. Not, wow this dude is crazy. Wow, this kid couldn’t write to save his nuts. I know, this isn’t the time to pick on his writing skills, but it does make me wonder. How does anyone get into college writing like this? I’ve read a number of replies about the plays and they are just as scary. Everyone is asking out loud why such writings weren’t reported to a counselor, the dean or some authority or another. Huh? You want to take every kid who writes something violent and report them? Good luck with that one. For every shooter with a naughty thought in his diary or blog, there are about a million kids (and adults) who sometimes feel overwhelmed and let their mind wander to the violet side of the tracks. Using this logic, we should lock Stephen King up on site. Come on people. If he was writing about how he was going to gun down thirty people in a violent rage, that would be different. But this guy is was just butchering the English language with bad stories about stepdads and English teachers. As for the rest of it, let’s stop looking for people to blame and bury the dead shall we? We can look, dig, wring our hands and ponder until the cows come home, but in the end the fault lies squarely on the shoulders of the individual who pulled the trigger. He did this. He made the choice. We’re never going to know why because he’s dead. It’s painfully blunt, but that’s the truth. (Besides, do we really want to hear why? Did it help when Bundy blamed porn? Did it help when McVeigh explained?)

Eye Candy: Now for something totally different. Cindy Crawford from Deep in Cream. Come on, you know you want to bust one off into Cindy.

Zupko’s Back: OK so Zupko never left. He’s been around non-stop for a long time, but the old Zupko is apparently back. I’m only through one scene of his Ass Squirts flick. Zupko and I have a long personal and professional history that hasn’t changed no matter what I have to say about his work. So I can safely say that this movie is a complete train wreck. It never ceases to amaze me when someone as incredibly talented as Zupko is just wastes it on something that any two-bit hack could do. It doesn’t take much to offend or shock people. It’s one of the easiest things in the world to do. Zupko is a great film maker and when he want’s to be a GREAT PORNOGRAPHER. Do you hear that Tom? You’re too good for this shit. It’s one thing to make a rough sex/side show movie. Some people really love that stuff and even though it doesn’t take much skill to shoot lifeless meat bag porn, one has to respect the directors who give the audience what they want. I just don’t think there is much of an audience for this stuff. I’ve been around a long time and I don’t hear people just begging to have porn mixed with religion. When you couple this with the Satan porn thing they are releasing later in the month, one has to wonder if Extreme has given up on the stroker crowd entirely. If that is the case, then it is really a sad day. Extreme used to make great stroke porn and people like Zupko and Lizzy Borden know how to deliver the good sex. I’d hate to see them fall victim to their own side show.

Eye Candy: Everything is so dark today. We need something cute. How about bikini clad web girl Samantha Gauge looking gorgeous.

New Porn Tax: They are at it again my friends. Those who want to stop porn by taxing it out of existence are getting all revved up for another run at the industry. This time the threat is coming from my own back yard. California State Assemblyman Chuck Calderon, a democrat from nearby Whittier is set to propose a new tax on the adult industry. Worse than that, he’s also slapping wording into the proposed tax hike that declares that adult entertainment “harbors criminal activities and causes adverse effects on local properly values.” Assembly Bill 1551 creates the “Adult Entertainment Venue Tax” which would tax the sale, storage, use and other consumption of adult materials. It includes live performances as well as businesses. That means every strip club is under the gun as well as every adult bookstore in the state. With Blockbuster and Hollywood Video hurting the smaller mom and pop video stores, this additional tax may force a number of these stores out of business. The Free Speech Coalition is organizing a visitation to the state capitol for next week. Hopefully they can talk some sense into these guys. Oddly enough, it is a Democrat who is leading the fight in this assault. The same thing happened in the 90’s, but some Republicans in the Assembly stepped up to block the unfair tax. I’m not sure we can count on that kind of help again. If you live in California, please write or call your Assembly Member right away. Tell them that you do not support Assembly Bill 1551. Here is a Complete List of California Assembly Members. Remember though, let’s keep it clean, respectful and show them that Mr. Calderon is wrong about the people who enjoy adult material.

Eye Candy Speaking of adult material, Twistys has some of the best. Here is another Audrey Bitoni Gallery to prove it
