DDI MAGAZINE UNVEILS NEW ONLINE PUBLICATION AT DOM CON 2015
Los Angeles, CA – DomCon LA will be hosting their annual ProDomme focused convention at the Hilton LAX this weekend. In attendance will be Domination Directory International, the full color, glossy boutique magazine who has celebrated the world’s finest Dominas for the past 30 years.
The DDI team will be available to speak with advertisers and readers about the exciting new additions to the magazine’s content and design, the premier of their sophisticated, long-awaited website, and listen intently to suggestions and answer questions.
Led by new editor/publisher, Soma Snakeoil, Domination Directory International is committed to honoring the magazine’s exemplary history, while exploring new frontiers of advertising and community. The DDI team is committed to one primary goal…to focus on the ProDomme and constantly seek to represent her with respect and elegance. The DDI team proudly declares they are the magazine by ProDommes for ProDommes and Their admirers.
Soma took over DDI Magazine around DomCon LA last year after spending time mentoring under the former publisher. As a retired ProDomme who advertised in DDI for many years, she is well aware of the importance of DDI’s place in the community and perfectly qualified to take it to the next level.
“Throughout my time as a Professional Domina, I appreciated how DDI Magazine maintained such high standards in the way they represented us,†says Goddess Soma. “I remember the excitement I felt every time I flipped through the pages of a new DDI magazine with my friends…searching for my ad, and commenting on the elegant, strict, impervious Mistresses starring at us through the glossy paper with striking confidence. When the opportunity presented itself to buy the magazine, I was overjoyed and jumped on it. It is the voice for ProDommes and I hope to give that voice the honor it deserves.”
One of Soma’s major focuses was to create an online version of DDI magazine that would offer advertisers more extensive features than the average ProDomme ad listing while offering readers entertainment, community and education/news. To achieve this, Soma brought in Danapros Consulting, a specialized website design firm with an excellent track record.
In the words of the Danapros company website, “We believe in change. We see things differently, think differently and do things differently. Danapros is the leading integrated business branding firm dedicated to organizations who want to change the outmoded conventions of their industries. We help craft their brand strategies, create authentic brand experiences and use the power of internet technology to communicate them.” The new DDI website will be available to the public for the first to view this weekend.
Goddess Soma will be at the DDI booth at DomCon May 14-17 along with others from the DDI family. They will have copies of the latest DDI magazine available, visiting guest Dr. Susan Block featuring her new book on Saturday, access to explore the new DDI website, an area for Dominas to rest and have their feet massaged or boots polished, and the opportunity for advertising Dominas to share their thoughts via video interview for the new website.
The largest BDSM event of its kind, DomDon Los Angeles is a five-day event covering both the business and pleasure sides of BDSM. During the first two days of seminars and interaction between Professional Dominas Goddess Soma plans to speak to women in the BDSM business world about DDI and its ability to help Professional Dommes market their services.
“I am very proud of DDI from an artistic standpoint,” adds Goddess Soma. “It has always been a visually appealing publication that celebrates feminine strength and beauty…and now we are adding some gorgeous new design techniques as a result of our capable art director Daniel Chan. He brings a fresh, clean, bright sensibility to the magazine that reminds me of the sleek visual power of a shiny, perfectly fitted catsuit on an intelligent, coy temptress… Yeah! Hot! Of course DDI isn’t only a source of visual delights, it is also a crucial business tool, a community resource, and an important record of our history as Dominas. I look forward to getting feedback from our advertisers, our readers and maybe even a scandalized protestor or two from time to time.”
After two days of business reserved for industry only, DomCon opens up on Friday to the BDSM community for the weekend. Lifestylers, fans and curious folks get to enjoy three days of classes, signings, fashion, demonstrations and the largest collection of fetish oriented products and services in the world.
“As much as I look forward to the business aspects of DomCon” says Goddess Soma, ” I can’t wait until they open the doors and I get to interact with the people. We have a lot of enticing and vicious content to show them and I love sharing moments with fans and others interested in the lifestyle.”
