On the Lot & Don’t Let the Door Hit Your Ass on the Way Out
One the Lot: I know, starting another blog on a non-porn issue, but what the hell. It’s my blog right? Have any of you been watching On the Lot? It’s the latest Mark Burnett reality show. I was a semi-film student years ago in college and movie making has always interested me. There are some very talented film makers on the show and it is a really well done bit of reality TV. The judges are pretty easy on the contestants so far, but I suppose that will change as they whittle down towards the end. If you get a chance to watch the show, check it out. Then you can sit around and wonder just how freaking stupid the voting audience is each week. The light bulb flick and the crazy cab movie made it through? Huh? Then again, American audiences did show up for “Little Man” so I guess people will watch anything. What I really want to know I why our friends Ivan and Robby D didn’t end up on the show. Wouldn’t that be fun to watch?
Eye Candy: Want to make a good movie? Cast Ashlynn Brooke and the audience will show up for sure.
Trip to the Valley: I got an email from Graham over at Elegant Angel asking if I thought it was time to do an updated interview with Patrick Collins (First Interview, Second Interview). It has been over two years since I sat down with Pat so naturally I agreed. Since I was ahead of schedule on reviews for the wedding, I had some time to drive up to the Valley. Beating the traffic, I headed up early in the day. You know, even without traffic, it’s a good hour and a half. Maybe that’s a good thing because if it was easier to get up there I might just hang out more often. Patrick and I had a good interview that brought us up to date on what is up over at Elegant Angel. I don’t want to spoil any surprises, but I can tell you that there is a very cool compilation coming from ElA very soon. Patrick and Michael Cates have picked their favorite scenes from the Sodomania movies and release them in a huge two-disc set. I got a sneak peek at that list and again, not to give anything away, but yes the Kaitlyn Ashley scene from Sodomania 6 will be included. Mark that one down as a must-own.

Bye, Bi, Bye?: I firmly believe in not kicking someone when they are down, when they have just died or when they are showing themselves the door. I’ll stick to that here, but I’ll push it just a little bit. First we have the inevitable early exit for Rosie O’Donnell from the view. We already knew she was gone and most of us were just counting the days until she pulled a full diva melt-down to exit with a bang. The big spat between she and Elisabeth felt staged to me. Rosie is a bully and was looking for any excuse to go off. No shock there. That’s who she is folks. I’ve never understood exactly why Elisabeth is even on the show and to be honest I have probably watched less than two hours of non-YouTube moments on the “View” since it started. Liz seems nice enough, but isn’t exactly a deep thinker. Rosie isn’t nice, doesn’t pretend to be nice and doesn’t do much thinking at all it seems. No kicking her as she is showing herself to the door though. I’m sure she will find another show and do just fine. Still, I would love to see her pull that bully crap on someone who could actually give it back. (Tammy Bruce would shred Rosie on a daily basis and wouldn’t that be fun to watch?) Also on her way out is anti-war mom Cindy Sheehan. I’m really going to lay of Cindy because she’s leaving. Apparently she figured out what a lot of us have known for a long time, that the anti-war movement has been hijacked by the anti-Bush movement. Cindy found out that in the end, she wasn’t going to get what she wanted from either party. I respect her for standing on principle the way she did, but I have to wonder if the true anti-war folks don’t feel a little abandoned by her. I can’t say that I agree with the disgusting anti-Semitic views she has embraced, nor to I agree that America is a “fascist corporate wasteland”, but I do wish Cindy well. She clearly has a lot of grief to get through and never fully addressed those issues. Hopefully she has the time to do that now. I was all set to write a great farewell to Kobe piece after he asked to be traded yesterday. Then the little Princess goes and reverses himself. Dammit “Ocho” make up your mind. You want to be traded or you don’t want to be traded. Then again, we have to forgive Kobe if words give him trouble. After all, this is a guy who honestly believes that “no” when coming from a young woman means “no to anyone but you, please rape my ass.” You know that thing I said about not kicking someone on the way out? Fuck it. That shit don’t apply to the Little Rapist/Crybaby/Princess. See ya Kobe. It will be nice hot having to listen to ever sports radio guy in SoCal suck your fucking asshole 24/7. (Hey Vic, what did Kobe have for dinner last night? I know you can taste it with your tongue that far into his colon.)
