Rog Note: Tricia Devereaux starts out the Evil Angel guest blogging with some food for political thought….or is it political food for thought? Either way, it is a great piece.
Hello to Rog’s readers!
I’m going to start off the writing duties with a short political appeal to you guys.
The Republican party has, rightly so, a bad reputation amongst the porn business. They have long been influenced by right wing religious conservatives who will seemingly stop at nothing to close down porn.
I’m asking you to consider putting that stereotype aside for a moment and consider hopeful Presidential candidate Senator Ron Paul. Senator Paul is from none other than good ol’ Texas. However, unlike current President Bush, he has not advanced in his political career cause of daddy or daddy’s oil money. In fact, one thing that the Senator’s biggest supporters are concerned about is his lack of campaign money when trying to get out his message. Hopefully with the help of his supporters on the internet and with the solid, casual and honest way that he comes off during TV, radio and newspaper interviews, there will be a grass-roots campaign for Paul like hasn’t been seen since Ross Perot was a third-party candidate.
Like Perot, Senator Paul actually has third-party ideas. He is by heart a libertarian. He is against the current wars in the Middle East and is very vocal about stating that he believes that US government received ‘approval’ to go to war by lying to the public.
He is in support of cutting taxes which will be made possible by cutting frivilous government spending.
He states that he is truly in support of the freedom of speech, and I believe him when he says that.
Thanks for taking a second to read this, and I hope that you’ll find a moment or two to check out this candidate and consider him to be a much better alternative to the frauds that are the other current options.
Check out his myspace at www.myspace.com/ronpaul2008. There’s lots of interviews on there in youtube format, and info that explains his views and ideas for the future of the US.
