Random TV Stuff: Before I get to the porn, there are just a few random TV notes running through my head. No, not that kind of TV, just the regular old 55 inch, direct from the dish programming. First of all, we’re watching “The Next Great American Band” and I’m half way ready to just scream every week. First America voted Rocket off and that was a huge mistake. Those girls are great. I ordered one of their CDs and it is really good. Now we’re down to the final four and two of the bands are great. The Clark Brothers are nothing short of amazing. Sixwire is pretty good and they will fit right into the country music scene win, lose or draw. So why the hair pulling? Because this week, they tossed out Dot Dot Dot and kept those little metal kids Light of Doom. Sorry guys, but the novelty of prepubescent rockers wore thin after week two. They were horrible last week and were painfully unprepared to take on a Queen song this week. It’s time for them to go. I really like this show a lot better than American Idol. Maybe because I would actually buy CDs by bands like Rocker, Sixwire, The Clark Brothers or The Muggs. Bands I probably never would have heard of if not for the show. Besides, it’s more fun watching good bands than cheesy wanna-be pop singers. What was my other TV note? Oh yeah…. Am I the only one who hates those semi-animated commercials? I don’t even know what they are for. A financial institution or some sort? They fucking annoy the hell out of me. Dudes, if you are going to hire actors, why animate them? Just CGI the whole freaking thing. Yeah, stupid random thought in my head, but there you go. Am I the only one who hates these commercials and is watching “Band”? (And for the record, I did try to get Rocket to take some Rog Rules T Shirts. No go so far.)

Funniest Porn Comment of the Week: I was talking to a porner on the phone this week about the fan faves voting and they gave me the laugh of the week.

Porner: So what happens is Skeeter Kerkove wins?

Rog: I would give him the trophy in Vegas if he would accept it.

Porner: I should vote for him, just to see what happens. Or Eon McKai.

Rog: I doubt he would accept.

Now this was a joke of course, but I was serious. If Skeeter were to win an award, or Eon or Max or Dana DeArmond or any of the others who hate me, I’d give them the trophy happily. When I started the Fan Faves polls years ago I knew that the voters might give the award to anyone. So far, the fans haven’t voted in anyone that I dislike or anyone who openly hates me. They often pick people who don’t know me, but that tends to work out well. A few years ago I had to give a trophy to a completely confused Taylor Rain at Erotica LA. Last year the fans voted for Sasha Grey and even though she hasn’t met me, she was great. This year I could be looking at giving a trophy to Bree Olson or someone else who doesn’t know me. So back to the original question, I’d be happy to give a trophy to Skeeter or Eon. The fans nominated and them so they were given the same chance as everyone else. I don’t have anything against either one of these guys so if they win, they win. It won’t happen this year, but it would be just fine with me. In fact, I would love to interview both of them. I just never hear back whenever I ask.

AVN Nominations: Male Performer of the Year: Not as much fun as talking about the women, but we might as well take a look at the guys. Keep in mind that I’m looking more at what is here, not about who they left off. Primarily positive is how I want to go with this. He’s pretty much the best performer in the business right now, but could have some serious competition from Manuel Ferrara Tommy Gunn or even Jean Val Jean. Evan Stone and Randy Spears are the best of the feature guys. James Deen, Mark Wood and Mr. Marcus are great additions to this list. No more Unsung Swordsman for Wood I guess. Without bagging on the list too much, I do have one very serious question. How in the world are Dirty Harry, Charlie Macc and Nick Manning on this list, while Lexington Steele, Scott Nails and Michael Stefano are not? Anyone?
