Best Company: No real shockers in bracket one. Jules Jordan Video ran away with it. Nearly 70% of the vote went to JJV. It looks like Jules may make a serious run at the title this year. Big deal for a second year company. Naughty America pulled in with a decent showing to take second place, knocking off Shane’s World and JM Productions. Bracket 2 was a two-horse race from the start with Digital Playground edging out Anabolic for the top spot. These two powerhouse companies sent Private and Vivid-Alt home for the holidays. (In the top 20, ten percent of you still feel that Vivid-alt is the best company. Either that or you just wanted me to have to hand a trophy to Eon McKai.) Multi-time winner Evil Angel had an easy trip to the top ten, pulling in nearly 60% of the vote. Diabolic nudged Sex Z Pictures and New Sensations out for the other slot in this bracket. Red Light District won an easy victory in bracket 4, but Vouyer Media surprised me by beating out Wicked in a close race for second. Zero Tolerance and Elegant Angel made short work of Adam & Eve and West Coast to round out the top ten. This round we have two brackets of four with the top two moving on to the next round. In this category, my original final four picks are still alive, but three of them are in the same bracket. Best I can do is three of four. (My Picks for the Final Four: Evil Angel, Digital Playground, Anabolic & Jules Jordan Video.)
Best DVD: Again no shock in bracket 1. Chalk up another win for Jules with Ass Worship 10. It nearly doubled Jailbait 3 and Bella’s Dark Meat 2. Jailbait moved on, giving Jules Jordan Video a sweep of that bracket. Not the Bradys XXX proved that sex comedies can compete with filthy flicks like POV Pervert 9 (Yet another JJV title in the top ten) and Anal Cavity Search 3. All five movies in bracket 3 featured the female star’s name in the title. Interesting I guess. Interactive Sex with Jenna Haze continued to dominate the field, easily making it into the top ten. Brianna Love is Buttwoman joined the top ten as well. (No such luck for Kim Kardashian Superstar or JJV’s awesome comp Belladonna Vs. Tiffany Mynx.) Bracket 4 was the feature bracket and Digital Playground’s Babysitters joined Wicked’s Operation Desert Stormy in the next round. Eden and Vivid-Alt’s last gasp Debbie Loves Dallas came up short. Big Wet Asses 10 continues to be the biggest surprise of the voting. It joined Flesh Hunter 9 for a narrow victory over Filth Cums First. In this category I was WAY off. Only one of my final four is still alive. Two of them were out in the first round. That’s what makes this so much fun. My Picks For the Final Four: Interactive Sex with Jenna Haze, Upload, Belladonna’s Dark Meat 2 & Fashionistas Safado Berlin.
Best Director: Bracket 1 for director was tight. Erik Everhard skated into the next round, but Erik Everhard won a narrow victory over Stormy Daniels and John Stagliano. That may be the toughest second round bracket I have seen in a while. The winner may not come from this one, but the runner up probably will. With Jules Jordan pulling in nearly 60% of the vote, Belladonna scooped up enough of what was left over to make another trip to the top ten. No such luck for Jake Malone or Tom Byron. Top male performers Manuel Ferrara and Rocco Siffredi survived bracket 3 to give Evil Angel 4 directors in the top ten. Jonni Darkko was one of those four, beating Michael Stefano by a somewhat narrow margin. Rounding out the top ten are Mike John who easily won bracket 5 and Hillary Scott who was last years pick as top female performer. She is still alive in two categories this year. I did a better job of picking directors as all four of my picks are still alive. Once again, three of my picks are in the same bracket. Jules, Robby and Darkko? Wow, killer bracket. Add Rocco and Hillary and the race to finish second to Jules Jordan gets really heated. (My Picks for the Final Four: Jules Jordan, Erik Everhard, Mike John & Jonni Darkko.
