Hi, I heard a few rumors that Rob left the business and even that he sold Extreme Associates? Have you heard anything like this?
Rog Replies: This is the first I have heard of that. I know that they have bee through a lot of changes at Extreme in the last year. That’s when I spoke to Rob and Lizzie last. At that time he was still there, but I have no idea if that has changed. I checked their web site (www.ExtremeAssociates.com) and they haven’t updated the news section since April of last year. (And you guys thought that I go through a dry spell when I miss an update for two days.) I’ll see if I can get anyone on the phone over there or maybe get an email through to Rob or Lizzie.

AVN Nominees: Female Performer of the Year: It’s time for a closer look at yet another category for the AVN Awards. Remember that I’m trying to keep this positive. Let’s do our best to focus on the women who are on the list and not get too down on things. It’s a pretty tough job taking all of the awesome women in porn and narrowing them down to just these few.

It looks like AVN did away with the Contract Star of the Year so we’ve got a mix of gonzo girls and feature girls. The big companies like Wicked and Vivid are represented of course. Of these girls I think that only Stormy Daniels really has a shot. The others just didn’t have outstanding years. Digital Playground’s Jesse Jane showing up with an outside chance. I think that one of the gonzo girls is going to take it though. Which one? Annette Schwarz had a really great year and so did Brianna Love. Hillary Scott was solid again and should have a shot. If I’m going to pick a winner, I’m going to go with Jenna Haze. She was awesome last year and didn’t win, then followed it up with a great 2007. For my dark horse, I’m going to say either Rebeca Linares or Sasha Grey. We’ll see if I’m even close. As for women who were left off? Well, that list should start with Gianna Michaels. I’m still unsure as to why she didn’t make it. Can anyone explain? (Someone did mention that she doesn’t do anal, but there are at least three women on the list above who also don’t take dick in the butt so what is the deal there?) Others? Casey Parker? Mika Tan? Teagan? Overall I think this is a pretty great list.

Mitchell Report: Oh man. What is there to say? It’s finally out there. Two years and 40 million dollars later we now know that several major league baseball players used steroids and HGH. Correction, we now know that someone SAID several major league baseball players used steroids and HGH. Well duh. Who the fuck didn’t know that. I would have taken a million of money and told you pretty much the same thing. Everyone is harping on the fact that Rocket’s name is in there. Is anyone surprised? One of the reasons I have never been fond of attacking Barry Bonds’ stats is because I assume that he was hitting against pitchers who were ALSO juiced. I’m not saying that it’s OK, but what are we going to do? They did it (allegedly), now there are tests for it so we can mostly stop it. Big deal. We had the dead ball era, the segregation era, now we have the steroid/expansion/tiny ball park era. Over the years baseball has made changes to fix what they feel is wrong with the dame. Lower the pitcher’s mound, add a DH, test for and punish steroid use. Now maybe we can just get on with things. What else are we going to do? Take one-sided testimony as gospel? We all know how someone can blindly accuse someone of anything, but that doesn’t make it so. And this report says not a word about McGwire or Sosa? Or Boone? Or Brady Anderson? Come on, how complete can it be? In the immortal words of Tanner I say “Let Them Play.” (Comment Away folks, the floor is yours.)

I think it’s just a better idea than plastering the site with a whole bunch of banners for random stuff. (Someone asked if I have advertising space available for production companies and yes. I do. Email and ask.) I have put some of the non-porn related store links onto the Links Page down at the bottom. So far I have Sony, StubHub, Mac Warehouse, Roxio Software and The Nerdz.
