A Year at the Top: Anikka Albrite in 2015
15 Trophies & the Triple Crown, Mainstream, New Studio, Directing, Featuring
VENICE, CA – Anikka Albrite exploded in 2015, winning the Triple Crown by taking home Female Performer of the Year trophies at the big three awards shows: AVN, XBIZ and XRCO.
She didn’t stop there.
Along with husband Mick Blue and director Maestro Claudio, they launched a new studio, BAM Visions, which within months had a Best New Imprint nomination for the 2016 AVN Awards and Best New Studio for the 2016 XBIZ Awards (as well as many other nominations for both). She even directed for the first time ever with BAM’s Bootycise, which was released in October.
She won 5 trophies at the 2015 AVN Awards, 2 at the XBIZ Awards, 5 Spank Bank Awards, 2 Alt Awards and 1 each at the XRCO Awards, Venus Awards and NightMoves Awards.
“I think all the stars aligned for me and it’s truly magical to have had such an incredible year,†Anikka said. “It’s all been one big amazing dream come true both for me and for my wonderful husband Mick Blue.â€
While keeping an incredibly busy shooting schedule, Anikka did manage to tour the country for several feature dancing engagements. She and Mick attended the Venus Awards and Exxxotica Dallas and she signed for Jules Jordan Video at Exxxotica NJ. She even starred in the industry’s first-ever virtual reality scene.
She was tapped early on to host the 2016 AVN Awards with Joanna Angel and then received 15 nominations for the show plus 5 for BAM Visions. Her noms include Female Performer of the Year, Favorite Female Performer, Best All-Girl Movie for Anikka’s Bootycise (BAM Visions), Best Anal Movie for Anikka’s Anal Sluts (BAM Visions) and Best Supporting Actress for The Turning (Girlsway/Girlfriends).
Score her 5 more for the 2016 XBIZ Awards, including Female Performer of the Year, Best Supporting Actress (for Wicked’s Wanted) and Gonzo Release of the Year for Anikka’s Anal Sluts (BAM Visions).
She had almost countless box cover and magazine covers this year. Mainstream embraced her and Anikka and Mick Blue’s (both reigning Performer of the Year winners) relationship (married) was particularly catchy for those beyond Porn Valley. Among others, she scored a profile in British GQ, a feature in Loaded and was again featured in CNBC’s annual Dirty Dozen. She also got a big thrill out of the AVN Awards airing on Showtime, which obviously she was prominently featured.
