REVIEW-

This is perhaps the most unique adult film of 2015. That makes it really interesting, but also a challenge for my usual review format. It isn’t a scene by scene sort of thing. In fact, it’s mostly story and that’s the strength of Marriage 2.0. The script and story are excellent. The acting is absolutely top notch. India Summer undoubtedly should win Best Actress honors at every XXX award ceremony this year. Overall the project is smart and ambitious, beautiful and touching. It doesn’t have a bunch of traditional sex scenes for me to give a blow by blow on. Instead there are some softish scenes that more often than not, advance the plot. As a typical porn flick, this one comes up short of hardcore smut and full scenes. Lucky for the film makers, they weren’t going for a typical porn flick. Instead they went for a smart, mature adult film that tells a pretty good story about actual characters living and loving in between a few very interesting and creative sex scenes. India Summer & Ryan Driller

After a hard day of work, documentarian India Summer returns home to share a romantic meal with her lover Ryan Driller. She is hungry, but that doesn’t stop her from reaching around the play with him. They engage in some hot and heavy action in the kitchen. It is mostly shot as a quick-cut softcore scene that feels more like an establishing boff to set the plot and a punchline.

Back for a second round, the happy couple goes for a more traditional scene this time. With much nakedness and kissing, they explore one another. I need to mention the soundtrack here, because it really does match the feel of the movie perfectly. The camerawork is also interesting. As the action intensifies, the camera moves a great deal to actually hide much of the hard core action. There is a cumshot at the end, but even this more traditional XXX scene is very unique and on message.

Nina Hartley

Nina Hartley plays India’s mom and mentor. She is in the middle of a massage turned softcore bone session. It’s quick and looks late-night cable style. They end up butt dialing India who is on her way to see mom.

After a long, well-written and superbly acted lunch scene between India and her friends, we get a very odd, artsy four way scene. It features black and white photography, female armpit hair and lots and lots of groping. It sets the stage for a dinner party where India will finally come face to face with her rival, her jealousy and her future.

The dinner party transitions beautifully into an orgy. We knew that it would, but it does so in a way that stands out from other adult films. (As does pretty much everything else in this effort.) India gets herself into the middle of some lesbian fun with Daisy Ducati in the mix. Ryan is busy with his blindfolded lover, spanking her while she writhes and begs for more. It turns out he wants to stand and watch another man do that and then have sex with her. The action is shot in a way that makes it more cable friendly. While this will certainly frustrate the usual porn audience, it works well to propel the narrative with something other than dialog.

Elsewhere in the party we watch the hostesses masturbate while watching a woman take on two lovers. (Including Jack Hammer who is a great performer and one of the nicest people in the business.) As it turns out, Ryan loves watching so much that he shares an intensely intimate encounter with Dylan when she is done. India sees this of course and the jealously train goes off the tracks.

India Summer & Mickey Mod

Rebounding, India spends a lot of screen time getting to know Mickey Mod. They end up in a theater after a movie with India asleep on his shoulder. When she wakes up, his cock is hard and out. She gives him a very hot looking BJ and then they have sex with the screen going in the background. It’s nicely shot and of course, drives the story to it’s inevitable end which I won’t spoil here.

Bonus: Outtakes, Alternative Ending
