Make Sure the Moms in Your Life Know You’re Thinking of Them

We shouldn’t need a special day to recognize all of the mothers in our lives, but since we have one (thank you Hallmark) we should take full advantage of it. I’m lucky enough to have a number of amazing women, moms, grandmothers and others in my life. It has been an honor and a privilege for me to share my life with Mrs. Rog for the past 15.5 years. We waited a long time to start a family and Mother’s Days are very special around here. Watching her with our little ones is one of the true joys of my life and I find myself in awe of her on a daily basis. I can truly say that the single best thing I have done in my life was to choose the most amazing mom for kids. I may not do a whole lot right, but I will always know that I hit that one on the head. Those of you who have read the site for a while know that less than two years ago my mom fought off another bout of cancer so I’m obviously exceptionally happy to still have her in my life. I could spend the rest of the listing the many great things she has passed on to me, but I would imagine that most of you have your own lists. So instead of boring you with mine I will just hope you take a few moments today to thank your mother. If you aren’t fortunate enough to be able to do that, then just give her a thought and remember all of the wonderful things she did for you. Thanks to all of the women in my life today, the mothers, the sisters, the wives, the friends and thank you for all the contributions you have made.
