2016 XRCO Pick the Winners Contest: The Winners & the a Look at the Numbers
This year’s XRCO Awards Show is in the book. The winners have collected their trophies and everyone had a great time. Fans who signed up for the Pick the Winners contest have also tallied their numbers and the winners have been selected. Entrants picked the winners in 11 categories, trying to match the votes of the XRCO critics. Thanks to the generous support of Fleshbot, Topco Sales, Blacked.com, Tushy.com and Swiney’s Pro-Am, the winners get to cash in their skills.
The winning ballot was turned in by a Fleshbot reader named “Catman” who scored 7 correct answers. Blogger Indigo Blue scores 6 correct answers, tying her with another Fleshbot reader Clarance. A five way tie was broken with a random draw for the entrants who correctly picked five of the eleven winners. This group included my own ballot which provided a win for one of my readers who responded to the video I put up about the contest (2016 XRCO Awards Pick the Winners Contest)
Less than ten percent of the ballots cast correctly selected even half of the winners. The average entrant scored just under four correct answers. Two ballots selected only one correct selection, but no one was completely shut out. The relatively low scores on the winning ballots emphasize how tough it is to accurately predict what a group of critics will do. In January, the 2016 AVN Awards Pick the Winners contest yielded similar results with the winner picking 12 of 25 categories.
Before delving deeper into the numbers , I want to thank the sponsors of this contest, Topco Sales, Blacked.com, Fleshbot, Tushy.com and Swiney’s Pro-Am for their generous contributions. Congratulations to the winners and thank you for all who participated. Don’t miss the 2017 AVN Awards Pick the Winners contest.
