2008 Fan Faves Round 1

The 2008 Best Newbie first round voting has concluded and we have our top 32 rookies. There were some very close brackets and some runaways, setting us up with a few clear favorites to take the award this year.
Bracket 1 was the tightest of the round with the four top finishers separated by 4.1 percent. Brooke Belle took top honors with Jayme Landgord, Ashli Orion and Melanie Scott rounding out the rest of the bracket. Melanie’s 15.5 was the highest total for a 4th place finisher setting her up as a solid dark horse choice to make it to round three.
Priya Rai an Chayse Evans totaled more than fifty percent of the vote in round two. Priya won nearly 30% on her own making her one the first round’s biggest winners. Megan Murray and Alana Leigh came up short of ten percent, but managed to advance.
Kristina Rose beat Jandi Lin and Kacey Jordan by eight points to win bracket three. The tight three-way race left Madison Ivy in fourth place with just over 12%. This bracket could give us three women who may advance to round three.
Tori Black was an early favorite to win the award and she opened the voting with a 22 point win in bracket four. Phoenix Marie, Andi Anderson and Brynn Tyler. After such a strong showing in round one, it would be a shock if Tori isn’t one of the four women competing for the finals in a few weeks.
Stoya similarly dominated bracket five with a 20 point win over Kayden Kross. Her 43% were the highest total of anyone in round one and tripled third place Cassandra Calogera. Sandy Sweet got in with five percent of the vote, but this bracket was all about Stoya.
Missy Stone won bracket six with nearly a third of the vote. Kakoda Brooke and Allie Foster put up good numbers as well. Nika Noire finished fourth to earn a trip to round two. Both Dakoda and Allie made late runs giving them momentum for round two.
Two contract girls fought a tough battle in bracket seven, beating a couple of hot young gonzo cuties for the top slots. Vivid’s Nikki Jayne beat Digital Playground’s Gabriella Fox by 1 point, setting them both up as strong contenders for the title. Sexy fan favorite Kiki was ten points back, but could be a factor in round two.
Bracket eight went to Adrenalynn by ten points over Riley Steele. Britney Amber made a strong run for third and my future wife Asa Akira managed to sneak in at number four. Come on guys, I’m hoping to give the trophy to Asa at our wedding in Vegas.
Round two will feature four brackets of eight with the top four finishers making it into the sweet sixteen. Voting will begin in the next few days and should be quite interesting. Will the new contract girls be able to hold off the gonzo girls? Will Tori Black ride her incredible beauty into the finals?
