Every once in a while, I get some really fun stuff in my inbox. This week I got a couple of funny pictures and a link to a story that just has to get some play. Thank you to Dr. Black Rod for these and hope you enjoy them.

This story just makes you scratch your head. Apparently former child star Susan Olson (Who folks my age will always remember as Cindy Brady) is back on the radio I remember listening to her from 97.1’s Ober and Olson show. Damn, that was 20 years ago when KLSX had Stern and Lydkis and a bunch of other talk shows. Apparently Susan has been back on the radio with a politically-themed show. Trump-loving former ‘Brady Bunch’ star fired from radio job for calling listener a ‘pathetic little c*nt’

I have a couple of take aways from this. First of all, the headline is pure click bait. The use of Trump’s name is bound to get people riled up. Also, look for plenty of negative stories about anyone who ever supported Trump because people are still so up in arms that he won and will feed the hate beast with any story they can. I also wonder why they didn’t throw “sexist” in there. After all, if calling someone a “Faggot” is homophobic then shouldn’t “cunt”, a word that is clearly gender-based also be deemed as “phobic.”

Finally, and let ms be clear, there isn’t any excuse for what Susan wrote. It was pretty ugly. That said, it is clear that the dude she was writing to has a problem with free speech and believes very strongly in silencing any ideas he finds unacceptable. On the one hand, we can applaud LA Talk Radio for acting quickly against a host who said some really terrible things in a private message to someone who publicly attacked her. On the other hand, we can all be a little leery of the idea that a station that is home to our own Melissa Hill and James Barthloet might be quick to shut down anyone who says anything that the general public might deem offensive.
