Email Bankruptcy: Follow Up
But is there a 12-Step?
Yesterday during my first report on AEE (Here) I mentioned hearing about “Email Bankruptcy.” Determined to help me kick my habit, Jeff sent over the following story this morning.
Trends: Declaring e-mail bankruptcy
It’s a great article and quite an idea. I did some checking after reading this. In addition to 3800 in the RogReviews.com inbox I have 300+ in my two business AOL accounts and another 500 in my personal aol account. 4600 emails? How does that happen? How could I possibly hope to whittle that down? Even at 3 minutes per reply that’s 240 hours. Ten days straight without a break just to break even? That’s six straight work weeks at 8 hours a day. I know what I need to do, but can I? Can I break the habit? Is there a rehab program for email hoarders? Can I get into that sober house with Mary Carey? And if I have 4800 emails, how many must someone like Hillary Scott or Dana DeArmond have? The mind boggles.
