Happy Father’s Day

I don’t have a lot of time today so you will be spared sappy stories of how much my father has taught me over the years. You will luckily miss out on me discussing at length how my sons have changed my life and how my view of fatherhood has changed in the past six years.
Instead I am just going to take a few seconds to wish all of the fathers out there a Happy Father’s Day. Hopefully your own children are there to wish you a happy day in person. For those of you with children far away, let me do it for them. You are loved, appreciated, respected and needed in ways that aren’t always obvious and rarely get expressed. They know it even when they don’t say it.
I want to specifically thank some of the great dads who are readers of this site. From time to time I’ve put stuff out there and the response is always great. Those of you I have had the pleasure of meeting always offer me new perspective and I am so thankful for your advice, father to father. I appreciate your support and input over the years.
And of course, I want to send a special thank you to my own father. I’ve said I love you a million times, but I learn new ways to respect and love you every day. Thanks dad.
