Reader Email: Michael’s Death
Les Puts it into Persepective
I haven’t written at all about Michel Jackson’s death and a few people have noticed. James writes in with a few thoughts. I will be posting a longer MJ post later in the week. Late in the email he references something I said on Twitter when I wondered aloud if by skipping the memorial on TV I was perhaps missing out on something historic. I think Les sums it well, but what are your thoughts on Michael? His music? His Life? His Death? His Legacy?
James Writes:
Roger,
I don’t know what is real or true about MJ’s life. I enjoyed many of the songs and video’s that he put together. I’m sorry that he has died, but I wouldn’t have gone to his memorial. I believe his fans have every right to go and pay homage to him. I wouldn’t go either. His professioan skill is worthy of my respect, his personal life leaves a lot to be desired. The reports I’ve read and the news clips I’ve seen leaves me cold. I don’t know the truth about his conduct with kids, I don’t know about the medical conditions he suffered from; however, I don’t want to memorialize his life style by attending that public event. Instead I will remember the great music he gave us and I want to forget about everything I’ve seen of his personal life. I’m with you I’d rather work……..
