For those of you who don’t know, Tina Tyler is an amazing example of just how far talent, brains and a great attitude can take someone. She’s an award-winning performer (And one of the early Gang Bang Girls) who was famous for a number of things including on screen BJ’s that were…well, let’s just say she could give lessons. She is also an award-winning director who has thrilled us with a number of original lines over the years including Fresh Out the Box from Mercenary Pictures. Off screen Tina is one of the brightest and most honest women in the industry. She’s outspoken, unafraid and I always enjoy hearing what she has to say. (Even when I don’t agree with it.) I am proud to have her back as a guest blogger this year. I thank her for her contributions and her friendship.

Don’t make me be strong for you.
Since the press release regarding my blogging for this site came out, I have been receiving a LOT of email from people I have never met, all with one thing in common… a very sad tone. I have cancer, but I am not dead, and most of these letters sound like eulogies. Here I am, trying my best to remain positive and make the best out of my situation, and I am being inundated with letters from people, who I’m sure mean well, but nonetheless are putting their sadness onto me. I only have enough strength for myself…DON’T MAKE ME BE STRONG FOR YOU.
I am very lucky, everything was caught early, I am receiving the best of care for free in a truly wonderful city. I won’t lie and say it’s a bed of roses going through sugery when you don’t know whether or not you will wake up with one less boob, or dealing with chemotherapy, but these are positive steps in the right direction… towards getting well… and they beat the heck out of the alternative.
So please don’t cry for me Argentina, my eyes remain dry and this is just another one of life’s obstacles that I feel confident that I will overcome.
