Hot damn, another waterproof toy for me to use in the shower. OK, not the shower this time, but still. Apparently I have become the designated water bug on the toy review team and I’m happy as can be about that. This latest gem from Doc Johnson looks a little like an electric flosser at first glance. The head is specially designed for clitoral stimulation and the text on the box said something about a long sensual bath so I went ahead and drew one. While the tub was filling I took some time to get to know this new toy.

The Velveteen Vibrator is fairly basic in design and operation. The base is slim and speed control is easy to use. It is a mild vibrator even on high so don’t expect this little guy to rock your work with sheer buzz power. The unique head design delivers all of the vibrator right to the clit though so it feels stronger than normal. Still, those of you who need the industrial strength vibe action. It is made of soft, smooth material that was pleasing to the touch on my hand and thigh so I knew it would feel just as good when I got into the water and let it work on other areas.

When my bath was ready I turned on some soft music, grabbed a glass of wine and slipped into the water. I let myself soak for a while and looked really closely at the unique design of my Velveteen companion. The head is shaped like a very narrow bullet about an inch long and a little bigger around than a pencil. I am a big fan of the bullet toys, but they tend to slip off of the sweet spot at the wrong time when not held properly in place. This design looked like it might just keep everything in place even at the most intense moments.

When I was properly relaxed from the warm water and the wine I put my new toy to work doing what it was designed to do. The small bullet head design is perfect for simulation along the outer lips, just inside and of course up around the clit. As I suspected the target-specific design more than made up for the moderate vibe strength. I love the clitoral simulation, but also like to have something inside of me. So I brought in another of my favorite toys to take care of that. I love the way this toy fits just inside and slides so easily up to the magic spot. Best of all, unlike my bullets, the Velveteen stays in place in case you want to let that free hand wander. (In my case up to the nipples at just the right time.)

I love the design on this toy. It is perfectly angled for self-love, perfectly shaped for intense clitoral stimulation and perfectly wonderful for underwater exploration. I have found a new top shelf toy. Now I just have to come up with a name for him.
