As usual, Les brings up an interesting question. With Tina Tyler and Stephanie Swift’s recent cancers still fresh in our mind, is there something about porn that makes young women more susceptible to certain kinds of cancer?

Rog: with Stephanie Swift and Tina both undergoing treatment for breast cancer I’ve got a question. Is there a higher incident of some types of cancer in porn? I know Ginger Lynn has battled the disease on and off over the years. It would be really bad to find out that facials and ingesting sperm made one more susceptible to certain forms of cancer. My prayers are with both Stephanie and Tina as they fight the battle.
It is very interesting that this would come up in the middle of breast cancer awareness month. As most of you read, we had a bit of a cancer scare in our house and it is something close to my heart as my mother has battled it twice. I honestly don’t know the answer though. Perhaps someone can shed some light on it. Are porn stars more prone to cancer? Probably not overall. There have been plenty, but as a statitstical sample are there more than in the ‘real world’? I know that most women in porn smoke and that’s always a factor. There is also a link between HPV and cancer though I’m not sure if that reaches beyond cervical cancer.
If anyone has any insight on this, please feel free to chime in. As always our thoughts and prayers are with Tina, Stephanie and all women battling through these difficult health issues.
