The FAME Awards: Finalists Announced

Since the FAME Awards (www.TheFameAwards.com) have reached the final stages. I broke down the first round and will continue to encourage fans to contribute over on the Forum (FAME Awards Thread). This is a place to cheer for your favorites, post pictures and campaign for those you think are deserving.
Today we’ll look at the overall list and see if we can find a few favorites to support in their efforts. Voters have until July 8th to pick the very best in each of sixteen categories.
I’ll try to break down each category if I have time and maybe we can get some good fan response to sway some votes. Remember, this is your chance to speak up. Do what you can to keep it positive though. All of these women deserve to be on the list because they earned it. We all have some names we wish were on the list and we can give those people some love, but let’s keep it nice, OK?
And yes, bribing us with eye candy, sign pictures and videos is totally acceptable.
The first thing I noticed about the list of finalists is that Tera Patrick will not get a chance to defend her Favorite Female Starlet crown. She’s won it two or three years in a row, but didn’t crack the top eight to earn a shot to defend. Maybe it’s because she is not really doing anything any more. Either way, she had a great run and whoever takes the crown will have big shoes to fill.
The usual suspects are on the Favorite Male Star list including James Deen, Lexington Steele and Randy Spears. No Erik Everhard though? Interesting to see one of the best gonzo performers shut out.
Favorite Oral Starlet features some good blowjob artists, but also a lot of names that make you think “popular” over “stunning head.” Nothing wrong with Jenna Haze, Tori Black or Sasha Grey sucking cock, but I think there are some true oral artists who may have been aced out here.
The Favorite Anal Starlet list also features some very popular women. They also happen to be great anal sluts. Perhaps this proves that these days, the two go one in hand. Is the way to huge popularity taking it up the ass? We will have to look more closely at this.
Breaking down the body parts is always fun. Favorite Breasts include the awesome pair Gianna Michaels brings to the table, but also a pleasure surprise with Faye Regan making the list. Alexis Texas and Jenny Hendrix made the Favorite Ass list, but so did the always hot Teagan Presley. Tough call there. Teagan also made the Hottest Body elite eight along with Nikki Benz and both Jesse Jane and Riley Steele from Digital Playground.
Favorite New Starlet is always fun. Kagney Linn Karter has to be the favorite. She’s won everything else so far. Alexis Ford and Riley Steele have the support of big companies and somehow Lupe Fuentes years in the business have been ignored in order allow her to be grossly overmatched by the likes of Isis Taylor, Andy San Dimas and Amia Miley. This should be really interesting.
The top movie categories are pretty good. Pulling the parodies out of the Best Feature contest makes it a little easier. Some good stuff on these two lists and one gonzo title that was so fucking horrible, so poorly put together that it’s inclusion is nothing short of laughable. (More on that later.)
Favorite Director brings us three women this year including Joanna Angel. I love seeing her on this list along with Robby D. and Jules Jordan. No Mike John once again proves that there is a disconnect between the people who vote in this thing and the people who regularly use porn to jerk off to.
I love the list for Dirtiest Girl in Porn. It’s nice to see Aurora Snow recognized. She has been so good for so long. Quite a list here as well. Jenna Haze, Kristina Rose, Tori Black and Shyla Stylez just for starters. Wow.
Favorite Studio includes the usual suspects. Evil Angel is on the list. (I need to write them. I haven’t seen a new title in a while.) Digital Playground and Wicked are also there. The great year that Elegant Angel had warrants inclusion on this list for sure.
For Underrated Star, we had a early favorite in Kelly Divine. She didn’t make it to the finals, but is worth a look if you love hot women with great asses. Asa Akira and Dana DeArmand both made the list and both are quite deserving. Shyla Stylez and Sophie Dee are also excellent choices. This one might come down to who wants to send us a hot “Rog Rules” photo or two first. (Ahem, ya year that?)
Best Parody includes the new Batman movie from Vivid. It could seriously challenge the X-Play stranglehold on this award.
Finally the wildcard category. A Cougar category was chosen. There were more interesting possibilities, but we are familiar with the women nominated for this award. Lisa and Julia Ann are on the list of course. So is Raylene and Kelly Madison. Nice to see a woman on this list who has made her name on her own site and then winning over porn fans in a big way.
We will be looking more closely at a number of these races ,but for now it’s your turn. Come on fans, speak up on behalf of your favorites. Ladies, feel free to show us why we should vote for you. We’re all for bribes here. And of course, best of luck to ALL of the finalists.
