Adult Novelty’s ‘Founders’ Named Exclusive Corporate Sponsors of XBIZ Retail Expo

LOS ANGELES — XBIZ is pleased to announce that leading adult novelty manufacturers, California Exotic Novelties, Doc Johnson, Pipedream Products and Topco Sales, aka the Founders, have signed on as the Exclusive Corporate Sponsors of XBIZ Retail Expo.
In association with the premier adult retail chains of North America representing more than 200 retail establishments, XBIZ will debut the XBIZ Retail Expo & Conference as a first-of-its-kind trade event for adult retailers on Feb. 9-11 at the Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles.
“California Exotic Novelties is very pleased to be a corporate sponsor along with the other ANME Founders,” CalExotics President and Founder Susan Colvin said. “XBIZ has done a great job organizing this event, and we are sure all those attending will have a memorable experience.”
Pipedream Products CEO Nick Orlandino added, “We are very excited to be a part of this growing trade event. We have seen XBIZ come a long way in recent years and look forward to seeing what it has in store for the 2011 show.”
“XBIZ has been a driving editorial force in the adult industry for many years, and Doc Johnson is very excited to be involved with the inaugural XBIZ Retail Expo, which we know will be a huge success,” said Chad Braverman, Doc Johnson’s director of product development and licensing. ” We look forward to connecting with all of our industry friends at this highly-anticipated event.”
Topco Sales CEO Scott Tucker added, “Topco Sales has a great number of choices when deciding which tradeshows and industry B2B events to participate in. Sponsoring the XBIZ Retail Show seems like a natural fit for us and the rest of the ANME Founders. Being able to connect with retailers in a professional setting is the driving force of our business model and we are thrilled that XBIZ is providing us with this platform to help us raise brand awareness.”
XBIZ Senior Account Executive Sara Sazzman said that the Founders’ sponsorship is reflective of the show’s uniqueness.
“To have the support of the biggest novelty manufacturers means they see the value in our one-of-a-kind show and I personally thank them for their support and participation,” Sazzman said.
With the announcement of the event, XBIZ also introduced the XBIZ Retail Expo & Conference Advisory Board that consists of Bob Christian of Adam & Eve Stores, Rondee Kamins of Adultmart/GVA-TWN, Mark Franks of Castle Megastore, Ed Braunstein of Deluxe Distributors, Hustler Hollywood’s Theresa Flynt, The Lion’s Den’s Shelly Sandau and Steve Brown of Romantix.
Kristen Kaye, XBIZ executive director of business development, said that the support and participation of the adult industry’s most renowned novelty manufacturers in addition to distinguished retailers demonstrates what XBIZ Retail Expo attendees can look forward to.
“The XBIZ Retail Expo & Conference will unify retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers of all sizes and origins in a monumental dissemination of ideas, tools and networking opportunities,” Kaye said.
“On behalf of everyone at XBIZ, I would like to express our deepest thanks to the Founders for their support. To say that we’re honored would be an understatement,” XBIZ President and Publisher Alec Helmy said.
Retailers from all sectors of the industry, including e-tailers, home party organizers, wholesalers and manufacturers, are invited to attend to the XBIZ Retail Expo, which coincides with the industry’s biggest business awards show, the 9th annual XBIZ Awards preceded by the leading digital media trade conference, XBIZ LA.
