What do you get when you team the two-time reining Performer of the Year with the most accomplished gonzo director of his generation? In the case of Angela White’s Dark Side, you get five hours of dynamic, often incredible smut. To call this a favorite for movie of the year would be an understatement. AT five hours, it gives us plenty of time to enjoy Angela in all her glory. There is plenty of praise to throw Angela’s way, but let’s talk about the direction for bit. This is a bit of a throw back in that the tease sequences are long, beautifully shot, unique and worth watching. This is something Jules has always done and it stands out here. Each one has a different feel and they really add to the overall heat and quality of the movie. Great editing, lighting and a sense of what the audience wants from a showcase really helps it to stand out. Now let’s get to Angela. I said she is the two time defending Performer of the Year and probably should be holding three in her hand right now. Either way she is a heavy favorite again this year in large part thanks to projects like this. She does a little bit of everything in this movie and does it all well.
