Nominated for Best Gonzo Series or Chanel, the James Deen Sex Tapes line feature James in some very laid back action. The cameras are stationary or handheld and the editing is loose to say the least. There are some interviews in a couple of the scenes, but the focus is mostly on casual fucking between Deen and his co-stars. It’s the raw action that makes this a solid pro-am effort even if some of the stars are well-established already. Karma Rx and Phoenix Marie enjoy working with Deen and it shows. Those scenes are pretty good and are not short on energy. The other two work a little better as pro-am romps. Jane Wilde is very cute and really enjoys getting banged hard. Shona River also shows some promise. If you like the raw and relaxed pro-a style and the type of energy James brings to the table then this is a pretty good flick.
