Any time we have a movie with a full page of AVN Awards nominations, you can be pretty sure it is something special. That is certainly the case, on both counts with Deeper’s Muse. With nominations in just about every possible category, it is already one of the most acclaimed adult projects in recent memory. It is likely to win a number of them, but regardless of the final trophy count, Muse is one of the more impressive adult films of the year. Maitland Ward has garnered a great deal of praise for her lead role in the movie. She plays a college professor who assigns her class a unique project. They are to create something obscene. Given a lengthy and often outstanding script, she takes full advantage and gives a lead performance that should make her the odds on favorite. Maitland also stars in two of the more memorable sex scenes. The four-way she shares with Adriana Chechik gives her a chance to show off her sexual intensity. To say she more than holds her own despite sharing the screen with one of the most notoriously intense performers in the industry. Adriana appears in another award-nominated scene that skillfully blends rope bondage with hardcore sex. Scarlit Scandal shines in a fantastic threesome that really has some great re-watch appeal. Lena Paul gets the only real one on one non-fetish scene of the movie and is fantastic as always. And yes, we have a script that allows for some character development which is always nice to see. With an interesting script and some really fine acting performance all around, Muse is an impressive effort that has a lot more going for it than just hot sex. This should be at the top of everyone’s must-see XXX flick list for 2020.

This is a unique film in a lot of ways. First is the fact that we are nearly twenty minutes into the story before the first sex scene kicks off. Maitland Ward has been approached by a couple of overeager fans on the street.
