Double Debbie Reviews, The Final Four & Maverick Vanishes
Debbie Times Two: Reviewed: As I mentioned yesterday, I did the double feature review on Vivid’s Debbie Does Dallas Again and Vivid-Alt’s Debbie Loves Dallas yesterday. Both were flawed movies sexually, but they bring something unique to the table. DDD gives us the basic cheerleader feel. It’s a combination of two of my favorite movies, Bring It On and Heaven Can Wait. (Can you believe that this movie isn’t on DVD?) It features really good acting performances from Stefani Morgan and Monique Alexander. On the down side, the sex scenes are a bit short and the story takes a strange turn that doesn’t really fit. DLD is not a cheerleader movie, but deals instead with groupies. The script has some decent moments and there is considerably more sexual energy than we usually see from alt movies. On the down side, the sexual heat is buried by poor camerawork, questionable editing and a lethal dose of alt-itude. Kind of a waste of a great Dana DeArmond anal scene, but there is some promise here. Some of you will be shocked, but I honestly think that Eon McKai is working towards a decent balance between art, alt and solid sexual material. Enjoy the reviews and I’d love to hear your take on either movie. Fan, foe or otherwise, speak up.

Final Four: So now the fan faves are down to the last round. The Final Four have been selected and the ballots will be going out tomorrow. In order to give everyone time to vote over the holiday, the final round will end at 9pm PT on 12/27. There are plenty of familiar names including Jules Jordan who is still in the running for Best Director, Best Male Performer, Favorite Company and has two movies up for Best Movie. Damn. Jenna Haze is also making a run at a win this year. More on the final four and a last chance for predictions later this week. Good luck to everyone and thank you all for participating.

Eye Candy: Need some holiday cheer? How about a three-way with Lichelle, Nikki and Brooke. Forgive me for this folks, but the phrase “Ho, Ho, Ho” pops to mind.
Maverick Gone: We still don’t have any confirmation as to the identity of Maverick Koltrain, but since Jules Jordan pegged him as Skeeter Kerkove, the new poster on AdultDVDTalk.com has not been heard from. The invitation is still open to Maverick, Skeeter or anyone who wants to explain this whole thing. Stay tuned, but don’t hold your breath.

Banging Calrton?: So apparently that little Carlton dork from Fresh Prince of Bel Air is now quite the Hollywood Playboy. He’s been out with Playmates and even got some camera time on the town with Ashlynn Brooke. That’s right guys Alfonso Riberio was out on the town with the lovely Ashlynn, showing her off and smiling from ear to ear. I wonder if that makes her a candidate for AVN’s Crossover Star of the Year. Hey, the award is named after Jenna Jameson, I’m sure she would be proud.
