Happy Anniversary Mrs. Rog

Eighteen Years of Love & Support

So today is my anniversary and this is usually when I write a long and sappy tribute to my best friend, the mother of my children, the light of my life and the best reason I can think of for pushing forward.

That should probably suffice right there, shouldn’t it?

No way I’m letting you all off that easy.

As you all can imagine, things haven’t been all that easy in the past few years. At home, at work and in the world at large, things have come down that at times have felt too big to face. From Mrs. Rog’s cancer scare to the economic troubles in this industry we have been tested. From family medical emergencies to the loss of loved ones, we have found our faith challenged. Through it all though, I get to marvel at this woman’s strength. She is able to see things in others (me included) that are too easily overlooked. Her compassion on a daily basis is an inspiration. Her love for those around her is a never-ending source of awe. Her patience with me through thick and thin is a reason to keep trying. She has taught me how to love and be loved and after eighteen wonderful years, I’m still learning. Still trying to be the husband she deserves, still trying to be the love of her life.

I love you, more today than I thought possible eighteen years ago.
